✝Chapter 15 - Slowly Killing Me

''Did Toby call you?'' I asked Alyssa, who was to lost in her new black and gold gown.

''Yes, he called me an hour ago.'' She smiled.

''Oh, so they landed?'' I asked worried.

''Yes, they landed at least two hours ago, why?''

''Damon said he would call me when they landed, do you think something went wrong?''

''No, Damon was by Toby's side, I could hear his voice.''

''Then why didn't he call me?'' I said looking down at my hands, smiling as I admired my new ruby ring Damon bought me for our first anniversary.

 

We didn't plan to do anything big, we were just going to go to Hyde park and spend some time together. Damon was going to meet me there because he told me that he had to pick up something that he left at the studio. I walked the short distance to Hyde park and texted him to ask him where he was.

I started to walk to my place and stopped in surprise when I saw Damon, sitting on a blanket on the grass with delicious covered food around him. ''Happy first year anniversary!'' He said as he got up from the ground and walked towards me to peck my cheek.

''This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me, I love you!'' I told him as I hugged him tightly.

''You're welcome, I love you too baby girl. Now lets go and enjoy the food that I prepared just for you.'' .... After we had finished eating and took a long walk in the park we went back to our place.

We ordered Chinese takeout, watched a couple of movies and then went up to bed. ''Can you grab me my watch, I think I left it in the top drawer.'' He told me as we entered the bedroom. I did as he told me and instead of his watch I found a black velvet box tied with a small red ribbon around it. ''What is this?'' I asked.

''Open it and you'll see.'' He told me with a wink. When I opened it I saw a beautiful ruby ring.

''Damon are you-''

''No, I'm not proposing, not yet, but this is my gift to you to celebrate our first of many anniversaries.'' Damon said as he leaned over, grabbed the ring from the box and placed it on my ring finger.

''I love you so much and thanks for today.'' I whispered before I leaned in and joined our lips together.

''My pleasure baby, now how about you give me my gift?'' He told me with a smirk as he started to tickle me, and in a few minutes we were both naked under the sheets making sweet love to each other.

''Sarah!'' Alyssa shouted.

''Hmm, what?'' I asked.

''Stop wasting time and get dressed!'' She said walking away from the bedroom.

''Alright, I'm going.'' I chuckled.

After all the preparations, we were ready to party! I wasn't one to wear a lot of make up, but Alyssa did an excellent job with this new Smokey eyed look. I loved it.

The night was going quite well, we were dancing our asses off and of course drinking our sorrows away. I myself was drinking to forget about Phil, Brianna, the book and the reason why Damon didn't call me. Alyssa on the other hand loved alcohol, she had no reason to drink, but she drank anyways.

I was pretty sure Alyssa and I were on our third vodka bottle. We have been drinking all night long and we were totally drunk. We were laughing, dancing weird and couldn't even stand anymore. I took out my cell phone to check the time and saw that it was three in the morning. I decided to do a stupid thing, but who cares? I was drunk. I dialed Phil's number and waited for him to pick up. Perhaps he can tell me himself why he talked shit about me. I saw Alyssa getting into a taxi cab. Poor thing, she called it a night. After I was out of the club, I sat down on the pavement and could hear someone calling my name on the phone, oh that's right I was phoning Phil.
