I stretched out in bed, so tired. It was only eleven thirty, but it felt like three in the morning. That had to be one of the most exhausting work week of my life.

''Don't you have any nightwear?'' Phil asked.

''I like wearing your T-shirts.'' I mumbled sleepily.

He leaned over and kissed my forehead.''I still have some papers to check out. Can I use your laptop while I stay here with you?'' He asked.

''You know, you shouldn't work that hard, grandpa.'' I mocked.

''And what is that supposed to mean?'' He beamed at me.

''You're turning twenty-eight tomorrow. You're getting old.'' I ruffled his hair, slightly chuckling.

''And you consider that old?'' He asked.

I nodded my head as he lowered himself onto me, his lips tracing my bare neck. ''You know what?''

''What?'' I moan.

''I really should back to work, because I'm an old man.'' He laughed, sitting in an upright position on the bed.

''Tease!'' I punched him playfully, turning around to the other side my backside facing him.

''That's what you get for calling me old.'' He said smacking my butt making me yelp. ''Try to get some sleep, Princess.''

''I love you.'' I whispered.

''I love you, too.'' He leaned down and softly kissed me on my lips.

The alarmed clicked on, startling me awake. Phil was still asleep beside me. Rubbing my eyes, I glanced at the clock. It was eight thirty in the morning.

It was a beautiful day outside. Perfect for Phil's birthday. I stretched out and turned to the most amazing man beside me. His eyes sprung open and he blinked sleepily.

''Good morning.'' I smiled and caressed his face, leaning down to kiss him.

''Morning, baby.'' He mumbled.

''Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Phil.'' I whispered against his ear.

''It's too early for that.'' He smiled.

''So what are we going to do today?'' I said as changed positions so I was laying on my front, elbows up.

''Anything you want.'' He said, his fingers tracing the length of my arms, making me bite my lip.

''But it's your birthday, you should pick.'' I pouted.

''How about we visit my parents and then we'll spend the weekend at their boathouse. Sounds good?''

''Yes! As much as I love Chicago, I need to get out of here for a little while.'' I giggled.

''Me too. Starting packing up, while I give my parents a call, would you?'' He asked.

''Yeah, no problem.'' I said getting up and out of the bed.

''You're the best.'' He pecked me on the lips and got out of the room.

After packing up, I made my way to the bathroom.
