Ashton pulls back and smirks up at me, me on top of his lap. The fire cast an orange glow over his face, he looked gorgeous but that could just be the alcohol talking.
"You sure little Luke will be alright with this?" I shrug and laugh.
"We aren't together so it doesn't matter."
"How about you two get a room?" I hear Michael scoff at us. Ashton laughs and decides to poke fun at him.
"Stop being sour because your girl kissed mine." I smile a little, I was his girl? Michael shakes his head and sips his beer, trying to enjoy the fire.
"It was just a game, Ash. They don't mean it that way." Ashton shrugs.
"I wasn't suggesting that, but now that you say it... what if, you know?" Ashton takes a sip from his red cup and Michael looks at him with furrowed brows. He was definitely bothered. Crystal puts a hand on his shoulder and frowns. I didn't consider the fact that I could be into girls until tonight, but Crystal really was beautiful and sweet. Michael was lucky to have her.
"Michael he's only joking, don't get fired up about it." He huffs and stares down the fire.
"Whatever, let's go." Michael stands from his seat and goes to grab Crystal but she pouts.
"I don't wanna leave yet, let's just stay a bit longer." I didn't expect Michael to become this bothered by Ashton's words. Was this even about what Ashton said or was it about the game? I didn't mean to start anything.
"I want to leave now." Ashton rolls his eyes beside me, he rests his hand on my waist as I adjust myself on his lap.
"Stop acting like this, Mike, it was just a joke sit down."
"Nah fuck you Ashton, you're always poking and pushing until it blows up. You do this all the time and one of these days it's going to blow up." Ashton just laughs and shakes his head.
"Whatever, man."
"You are taking it a bit out of proportion Michael, it's just a game." Sierra joins in. I look over to her. She was pretty.
"Whatever," Michael looks over to Crystal. "I'm leaving with or without you." She frowns deeply. It takes a few moments but she finally decides to stand up. She looks around at all of us, putting on a fake smile.
"It was fun being here with you guys, see you soon." Her and Michael walk away from the fire, making their way to the gate. When they're far enough, I look and notice them talking, Michael didn't look happy. They were definitely arguing. I felt bad.
"Good riddance." Ashton speaks aloud after taking a sip of his drink. "Always getting sensitive over dumb shit."
"Yeah, he's just protective over his girl is all." A guy with dark brown hair and green eyes speaks across the fire. I think Crystal called him Logan.
"I feel bad, I think it's my fault." I frown, looking over at Logan but he just smiles, shaking his head.
"No worries, he's always been that way with her," I didn't hang out with Michael and Crystal enough to know how their relationship was, but from the looks of it it didn't seem good. "You're fine, love." Ashton tightens his grip on my waist a bit after Logan speaks, I look at him but he just smiles.
"Think it's time to put the fire out," Ashton speaks. I assume he means party's over and everyone has to leave. "I'm a bit tired." I get off of Ashton's lap as he tries to get up, he goes to the bucket of water set by the fire.
"Already?" Logan asks. "It's pretty early."
"I'm tired." Ashton looks over at Logan. "That's all." Logan shrugs and gets up. Sierra comes up to me and smiles.
