The school day dragged on as always. Ashton and I sat at the lunch table, Michael sitting across from us. He didn't look too happy, His eyes look sunken in, swollen. He looks as if he hadn't slept in days.
Ashton had told me that Michael and Crystal broke up. It didn't come as a surprise to me. I knew they would break up, as sad as it was to admit. They kind of looked happy, but then I remember how they had acted at the bonfire and realize that maybe they weren't so happy together behind closed doors.
"So what happened?" Ashton asks Michael and Michael just shakes his head. I could tell he didn't actually wanna talk about it.
"She just... left me," He scoffs. "Out of nowhere." I felt bad for Michael. The both of them had been together for three years. I could only imagine how he was feeling.
"I'm sorry, Michael." He sighs deeply.
"You'll find other girls," Ashton speaks, trying to lift his spirit. "There's plenty of fish in the sea, man." Michael looks up from his hands to look at Ashton. His brows furrow in what looked to be in annoyance.
"There may be, but none of them are her." He looks away and stands up. "I gotta go. Text me soon, I wanna chill later. Not much for me to do otherwise." With that Michael slings his backpack over his shoulder and makes his way out of the cafeteria.
"That's crazy."
"What?" I shake my head and frown.
"That, they were together for so long. I hope Michael's okay. I know that has to take a huge toll on someone." Ashton frowns too and shrugs.
"Mike is tough. He'll come around soon." He speaks, a little unsure. Suddenly, the lunch bell rings, signaling we have to go back to class. "Cmon then." I nod and stand up with him, going to leave the lunch room with him.
We walk down the hall and it's then that I realize how close we walk beside each other. His arm brushes against mine, hitting me every time we walk.
"Sorry." He chuckles.
"No, it's fine."
"Wanna do something today?" He laughs. "I know I kinda live with you now and all that but, you know." I smile at him. He looked a bit shy for the first time. He usually seemed so confident with his words, his actions, so I found this cute.
"Yeah, I-" Out of know where I'm pushed roughly, being shoved back. I stumble to gain my balance so I don't fall but it doesn't work, I fall to the tile floor anyway. I look up, clearly pissed off and baffled by what just happened. What the fuck?
It's Sierra. I swear to god this bitch had it out for me. I don't know who she thought she was to push me like that but I'm not one to take shit, she should know that.
What the fuck was that for?
"What the fuck? What's your problem!?" Ashton yells, helping me up. I stand and brush the dirt from the floor off my jeans. She scoffs. She looks fucking crazy. I could tell she was angry but the struggle was trying to figure out why. I haven't talked to her in like a week. What could possibly be bothering her?
"My problem is that your little whore can't keep her legs closed!" She yells, frustrated.
"Excuse me?" I'm genuinely confused and really didn't feel like wasting my time on this dumb bitch, but I was so curious as to why she was acting this way.
"You," She pokes roughly at my chest and points at me. "Stay away from my god damned boyfriend or I swear to god."
"Listen you crazy bitch," I say, grabbing her wrist tightly and throwing her hand away from me. "I don't want your fucking boyfriend. If you couldn't tell, I'm busy with more important things. I don't have time for your shit or your drama, so please fuck off." I notice Ashton smile when I say more important things. I stare at Sierra waiting for a response.
