I fixed my hair as I looked at myself in the mirror. I did my final touch ups before exiting my bedroom and walking downstairs.

"Morning babe," I heard my fiancé say as I entered the kitchen.

"Morning honey," I said to him as he wrapped his arms around my waist

"Morning honey," I said to him as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

He quickly pecked my lips before letting me go.

"You want some coffee or breakfast or something?," he asked me.

"I'll just have coffee. I'm not that hungry. I'm probably too nervous to eat," I told him.

"You have no reason to be nervous. You're the hardest working person at that marketing company. There's no one else your boss could choose to be partner other than you," he said rubbing my shoulders.

"I know, but you know my boss can be a little misogynistic at times. He could just give it to a guy with half the experience I have just because he's a man," I explained.

"If your boss knows what's good for his law firm, he'll make you partner. You're the best one for the job," he continued.

"Thank you baby. I just hope he thinks like you do," I smiled.

"He will, but you know, you wouldn't have to deal with him if you were to quit. You could open your own marketing company. Your clients are loyal to you; they would follow you. You could hire some other employees to work for you. That would lessen your workload, and you could slow down a little, spend more time at home, work on the wedding. We could try getting pregnant," he told me.

"Honey, you know the plan. We agreed on it. I make partner at the company. You climb up the ladder at your job. We get married and enjoy married life for a while. Then we have a baby. We really need to follow this plan. I need to have everything right with my job and work life. I need to be in the right place in my career before I even consider having a baby. And plus you know I can't quit the marketing company for obvious reasons," I told him.
