Bey's POV
"Are you coming to dinner with Dad tonight?," Solange asked me as she changed the TV channel.
"Tonight? Dinner with Dad is tonight? I thought that was next week," I asked her.
I was at her and Zendaya's apartment just catching up with Solange. Zendaya was at work.
"No, it's tonight. Why?," she asked me.
"Um, no reason. I just forgot, but I'll definitely be there," I told her.
"Good, Zendaya and I need you there. You didn't have plans, did you?," she asked me.
"No, I was just gonna do what I've been doing everyday this week. Just sitting on my couch in pajamas watching movies until I fall asleep," I lied knowing good and well that I haven't been doing as much sleeping since Jay and I got together.
"Aww Bey, I don't like seeing you like this," she told me.
"Seeing me like what? I'm fine," I said.
"Ever since you decided not to be with Jay, you've been so different and distant. You stay at home so much more than you used to. You don't wanna go out and do anything fun with us. You're like a recluse now. You're not the same Bey," she told me.
Now that I think about it, I guess I do spend a lot of time with Jay now since we've been together, and I tell my sisters and Ashley that I'm just wanna be at home by myself.
"I'm just tired after work and stuff. I'm fine," I told her.
"No, you're not. I think you need some dick in your life," she said.
"I can assure you that I don't," I laughed.
"Are you sure that you're not ready to start dating? There's this guy at the law firm. He saw a picture of us on my desk, and he seemed pretty interested in you. He asked if you were single," she told me.
"Well, I'm not looking to be in another relationship right now, Solange. I told Zendaya the same thing. I love y'all, and I know you're just looking out for me, but I'm fine," I told her.
"Alright Bey, I just have to make sure that you're okay. I just care so much about you. You're my big sister," she said.
"And I appreciate it so much, but I need you and Zendaya to let it go. I'm fine," I replied.
"Okay, I just know that you went through so much with Michael and Jay, and you deserve to be happy for once," she told me.
