"You look great Bey," Zendaya told me as I finished getting dressed.
"Thank you," I said to her.
"Yeah, you really do look amazing Bey," Ashley agreed.
"Yep, and I bet Jay will think so too," Solange added.
"I could wear a paper bag tonight, and Jay would still think I look amazing," I chuckled.
"Which is why you should date him. He'll treat you right, and he'll think that you look beautiful no matter what. Just those two qualities alone are hard enough to find in a guy, and somehow you found a guy with all that and more. Not to mention that he's fine as hell, and he loves you and actually wants to be with you, and you have feelings for him too. You should never let him go," Ashley told me.
"Tell her Ashley," Zendaya added as I put my rings on.
"Couldn't have said it any better myself," Solange said.
"Guys, I know how great of a guy he is. You don't have to tell me, and I do have feelings for him. Really strong ones. You should've seen him all week. He was being extra sweet at the office this week trying to make me swoon over him, and I really enjoyed it," I told them.
"So say yes to him tonight," Zendaya replied.
"But I've already thought it over all week, and when he asks me to be his girlfriend tonight, I'm gonna say no," I told them.
"What?!," they all asked in unison.
"You have feelings for him! You just said that," Solange exclaimed.
"Why aren't you gonna say yes?," Ashley asked me.
"Yeah, I do really like him, and it would be amazing to be in a relationship with him if it worked out, but there's just so much outside stuff against us," I told them.
"Like what?," Solange asked me.
"Like I don't know if I can handle another serious relationship right now. What if I start dating him, and I realize that I don't wanna be in a relationship with him anymore, and I break his heart. I don't wanna do that to him. I care about him too much, and I don't wanna mess up our friendship. Not to mention that Dad has a strict policy against coworkers dating. He says that it interferes with business, which it does. It might affect our productivity at work. And his sister probably isn't gonna be too fond of me. She hated his last girlfriend," I explained to them.
"Okay. First, you're not gonna run away from him that's just your fear talking. Second, fuck Dad. Nobody give two fucks about what he thinks. And finally, you're not his last girlfriend. You're a completely different person. A good person, and his sister will like you. I'm sure of it," Solange told me.
"And do you know how you face all obstacles? Together," Zendaya added.
