"You did what?," Zendaya asked me after I told her, Solange, and Ashley what had happened between me and Jay a few days ago.
"I don't even know how it happened. I just kissed him, and it was an amazing kiss," I told them.
Solange, Zendaya, Ashley, and I were out to lunch together. I was on my lunch break and decided to get a quick bite with my girls.
"And what happened afterwards?," Zendaya asked me.
"Nothing much. We just cleaned ourselves up from the food fight. Then we cuddled up on the couch and watched a movie. We haven't really talked about it," I replied.
"Alright Bey, I'm proud of you. You're getting your groove back and getting over Michael," Ashley said.
"Me too, and for what it's worth, I knew that you liked this Jay guy. The way you talk about him. I knew that it was only a matter of time," Solange told me.
"Yeah, she talks about him like 24/7," Ashley added.
"So what are you gonna do now? Are you gonna explore a relationship with him?," Zendaya asked me.
"No," I told them.
"Why?!," all three of them exclaimed in unison.
"Because I don't like him," I told them.
"Oh yeah, and I'm a billionaire," Ashley scoffed.
"I don't like him guys," I reiterated.
"Honey, you went out of your way to make it clear to another girl that he was unavailable. You told that woman that he way gay. Why did you do that?," Solange asked me.
"Because I didn't think that woman was right for him. He's my friend, and I was just looking out for him," I explained to them.
"Okay then. Why did you kiss him if he's just a friend? You've never kissed me, and we're best friends," Ashley asked me.
"Because I'm not blind. He's very attractive. I'm just not into him like that. He gives me more of an 'in my pants' feeling," I told them.
"Lies. He gives you an 'in your heart' feeling and an 'in your pants' feeling, which means you want him to be your boyfriend," Zendaya said.
"Guys, I just got over Michael. I'm not looking to be in another serious relationship right now. I just wanna have fun. Plus, we're really great friends, and I don't wanna mess that up," I told them.
"Look Bey. No one is ever looking to fall in love. It just happens, and when it does it may interrupt the other plans you had for your love life, but you can't push him away because you're scared of another serious relationship. You love that man. I'm your sister. I've known you all of my life, and I know when you're in love. Just open up your heart and let him in. Don't be scared to take a risk because it just might be the best thing that ever happened to you," Solange told me.
