Phone Call
"So how was the trip to Vegas with your man?," Solange asked me.
"It was awesome. We had an amazing time. We stayed at this beautiful hotel. We took a gondola ride at the Venetian. We went wine tasting and took a hot air balloon ride. We walked the Las Vegas Strip. We visited their Eiffel Tower. We saw some shows. Just to name a few things. It was so much fun," I told my sisters as I talked to them on a four way call.
I was in my car, and I had my phone connected to the Bluetooth speaker as I drove.
I was just telling my sisters and Ashley about my trip since I hadn't talked to them since I got back home.
Jay and I left early Saturday morning, before the sun came up, after the party headed to Las Vegas. We spent Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday there. We got on the plane home Wednesday morning, and we both took Wednesday off to recuperate, and we're just getting back to business today, Thursday.
"I'm glad that you had a good time. You needed some time away. You've been working so hard lately with everything going on with your new Adidas line," Zendaya replied.
"Yeah, did we mention how proud of you were are?," Ashley asked.
"Once or twice, yes, but thank you guys. I appreciate it," I told them.
"You're welcome, so where are you headed now?," Ashley asked me.
"I just left my office. Now I'm headed over to Jay's. We're going to lunch together," I replied.
"I wish I had a man to take me out to lunch and throw me huge birthday parties. Bey, can I borrow Jay?," Solange said jokingly.
"No, honey. I'm sorry. You gotta find your own because that's all me right there," I chuckled.
"You lucky as hell bitch. I swear, you hit the boyfriend jackpot," Ashley said.
"Yeah, I did," I smiled as I thought about Jay.
"Hey guys. I gotta go. Some old lady is hitting her nurse button. She probably wants another damn pudding cup. Her ass already had five. Fatass. I swear, I did not go to nursing school to be a damn maid," Zendaya said.
I chuckled to myself.
"Okay. I'm pulling up at Jay's job anyway. Talk to y'all later. Love you," I told them.
"Love y'all too," Solange said.
"Me too," Ashley added.
"Me three," Zendaya finished before we all hung up.

I parked my car before getting out and heading in the building.
