Bey's POV
"I am so done with Dad!," I yelled as I walked into my younger sisters' apartment."Well, hello to you too. Yeah, I'm doing fine. Thanks for asking. How are you?," she said as I slammed the door behind me.
"I don't have time for games right now, Solange. Don't start," I told her as I plopped down on the couch next to her.
"You heard that Solange. Don't start," my youngest sister said as she walked out of the kitchen.
I have two younger sisters, Solange and Zendaya. Solange is the middle child. She's 25, only a year younger than me. Zendaya is the baby. She's 22.
They live together because it helps them save money splitting the rent.
Solange is a lawyer at one of the biggest law firms in the country, and Zendaya is nurse. She works at the same hospital as Michael.
We're really close. We hang out all the time and talk to each other about everything.
"Okay, I'll bite. What did Dad do this time?," Zendaya asked as she sat down in a chair across from Solange and me.
"He gave the co-CEO position that I clearly deserved to some guy from the New York offices! He was a Senior Vice President back in New York, a job that I could've done in my sleep! I am obviously more qualified!," I exclaimed.
"Calm down Bey. You're gonna have high blood pressure dealing with Dad," Solange told me.
"Dad is such a misogynistic pig! God, I can't stand him sometimes! He's always so hard on us for no reason! I don't know why he didn't give me the position! He says he doesn't want to be accused of showing nepotism, but I know that's a lie!," I said still upset.
"Correction: he's hard on you Bey. He's not hard on Zendaya and me because we don't work for him. We told him how things were gonna be, and he just had to deal with it. We told him that we're adults, and we're gonna do our own thing. He only treats you the way he does because you let him. You need to stand up to Dad the way we did, but you just wanna be Daddy's Little Girl," Solange told me.
