Bey's POV
"Baby, I have to get to work," I told Michael as he climbed on the bed on top of me.
"You can be a little late just for once," he said as he started kissing on my neck.
"No, I can't. Come on babe. Get off," I told him.
"Fine. You're no fun," he said as he got off of me.
"Michael, don't be like that. You know I have to get to work. I've gotta get started on this L'Oréal campaign with this new guy, and I don't want my dad to have anymore reason to be mad at me," I told him.
"Yeah, I know. I was just joking," he said.
"Well, I can never tell with you. I never know what's gonna turn into an argument," I replied.
"I know, and I'm sorry about that too. I told you though. I'm changing, and I'm doing better for us," he told me.
"Yeah," I said.
"I was just saying that I wish we could spend more time together though. I miss being with you. Between both of our jobs, we're just really busy," he said.
"Yeah, I know. I would really like some alone time with you too," I told him.
"Well. Then how about tonight? Let's go out on a date tonight. We can go to your favorite restaurant," he suggested.
"Yeah, date night sounds good. I'd like that," I agreed.
"Alright. Then, it's settled. I should be home around six-thirty or seven tonight. Maybe a little bit earlier. We can go out as soon as you finish getting ready," he told me making reference to how long I take to get ready.
I chuckled and rolled my eyes.
"Okay. Then it's a date. I'll see you tonight," I told him.
"Alright babe. I love you," he said before pecking my lips.
"I love you too," I replied before leaving the house.
At Work
Bey's POV
"That idea sucks...balls," I told Shawn after he explained one of his ideas for the campaign."Classy," he said sarcastically replying to my comment.
We were sitting in my office trying to come up with our pitch for the L'Oréal campaign.
"Thanks. I know I am," I told him.
"I was being sarcastic," he replied.
"You're not too good at. Just like you're not too good at advertising and coming up with ideas. Maybe you should quit now and save yourself the embarrassment. I'd be happy to take over," I suggested in all seriousness.
"Nice try, but you're not gonna be able to get rid of me that easily," he told me.
"It was worth a shot," I said.
