Five Months Later
Bey's POV
"Bey, one of my coworkers from the hospital asked me about you the other day. I showed him your picture, and he really wants to talk to you. He's really cute. I could give him your number. Maybe you could give him a call and see where it leads," Zendaya said to me as I sat on my bed and put on my shoes.
"Thanks Z, but I don't need you to set me up. I'm doing just fine," I told her as I stood up and grabbed my purse.
"You sure? You know it's been five months since you decided not to be with Jay. I just don't want you to be all sad and alone," she told me.
"I'm not sad and alone. I have you, Solange, Ashley, my job, and this great new house," I assured her.
"A house that's a few doors down from Jay," she added.
"I rarely even see him. Trust me. After that night, he doesn't wanna see me either," I replied.
"Bey, you know as your sister, I can't help but worry about you," she said.
"I know, but I'm telling you like I told Solange and Ashley. I'm fine. I'm over Jay, and all three of you can stop worrying and stop trying to set me up. I'll date when I'm ready. Right now my life is full. Just because you have Tom doesn't mean I need anyone at this moment. I'm fine. Now, go to work, so I can go to work. Dad's gonna kill me if I'm late to this meeting this morning," I told her.
"Alright, I love you Bey," she said before hugging me.
"I love you too, and thank you for your concern. You're the best," I replied hugging her back.
We let go of each other before she walked out of my bedroom and went downstairs.
I heard the front door close, which meant she was gone.
I grabbed my things and headed downstairs myself. I walked out of my house and locked the door behind me.
I got in my car and backed out of the driveway. I drove off down the street. I sighed a little as I passed by Jay's house. His car was gone, which meant he was already at work.

Bey's POV
"Thank you for joining us Beyoncé," my dad said as I walked into the conference room where he and Shawn were."Good morning Dad," I said as I sat down next to him.
"Shawn," I said acknowledging him.
"Beyoncé," he replied.
I rolled my eyes and looked away from him. He sighed angrily at my behavior.
