Arielle's PoV

"That's Great! Thank you so much." I grinned down the phone.
"See you Wednesday Arielle." Jim spoke.
"See you then." I nodded my head, hanging up the phone.

Jim had called me whilst we were all clearing up from dinner that Kelly had cooked. She's a pretty good cook, better than my dad for sure. Anyways, I had gotten the Zara job and I don't know if this was an excited smile or a hella nervous one.

"Everything ok?" My Dad poked his head around the door frame.
"Uh yeah. I got the job." I pursed my lips.
"Well done, honey!" My Dad pulled me in for a hug.
"When do you start?" He asked, stepping back and looking at me.
"Wednesday." I replied.
"Soon then?" He asked to which I nodded my head.
"That's great news." He smiled.
"I'm proud of you, Ari." He added, pecking my forehead.
"Thanks Dad." I grinned.
"Shall we get back to helping with dinner?" I asked.
"No problem, sweet. It's all done." Kelly walked into the front room, her hands smoothing down her black dress.

She came up behind my dad, placing a hand on the small of his back before pecking his cheek.
The sound of someone faking a heave from the door caught our attention and there stood Noah, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lip.
"Boys." Kelly shook her head, giving Noah a look that I couldn't quite read.
Noah walked past us, sitting himself down on the sofa.
"I'm bored." He groaned. My dad and I exchanged a look. I kind of knew that my dad didn't know what to think of Noah. He could see where I was coming from when I said that I didn't really like him.
"Why don't you and Arielle run down the shops and get some pudding?" Kelly suggested.
"No!" The word escaped my lips before I even had the chance to think. Kelly's head snapped in my direction, her eyes wide.
"I mean..." I started.
"Of course we'll go." Noah began, standing up and throwing an arm over my shoulder.
"Isn't that right, Arielle?" He asked, his lips dangerously close to my ear.
I gulped, desperately wanting to escape from his grip.
"Sure." I nodded my head, shrugging off Noah's arm and running off to my shoes. I really didn't want to go with him but I had to make out that we got along, for our parents sake.

Before I knew it, I was sitting in the passenger seat of Noah's car, him driving along the road, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel in time to the beat of the music.
I gently hummed along to the sound of 'ex' by James Tw. Noah singing his heart out as we drove. He was a pretty decent singer.
The chorus came in and I watched as he bobbed his head ever so slightly. Had he forgotten that I was still here? I mean, I wasn't complaining because if this music wasn't playing, he'd be pissing me off.

The shops were literally down the road so Noah parked up in a little space, hopping out of the car.
"You not coming?" He asked, watching as I stay seated.
"No." I shook my head.
"Why?" He questioned.
"Because I'm trying to avoid you as much as I can." I answered.
"Are you still mad at me for walking in on you the other day?" He asked. I kept my eyes ahead of me, not wanting to give him any eye contact.
"Yes." I nodded my head.
"I told you I was sorry." He groaned.
"How would you like it if I walked in on you changing?" I asked.
"I'd ask if you liked what you see." He snickered. I turned my head, giving him a hard glare.
"You're such an ass." I huffed.
"I know, you tell me all the time. I'm starting to see it as a compliment." He chuckled.
"Just Get out of the car and come with me to pick some pudding." He added.
"No." I shook my head.
"For fuck sake, Arielle!" He raised his voice slightly, making me jump in the seat a little.
"Just tell me what your favourite ice cream flavour is." He added.
"Chocolate." I answered.
"And what's your least?" He asked.
"Mint." I replied.
"Perfect. I'll get mint then." He shut the door, beginning to walk off.

I rolled my eyes, unbuckling my seatbelt before climbing out of the car.
"Noah!" I called after him. He spun around on his heel, looking at me.
"Wait!" I groaned, pulling up my cardigan that had slightly fell down my arm.
I walked over to him, completely over taking him as I walked into the shop.
I only came because I really fancied some ice cream but mint was not what I wanted. I had to make sure he'd get chocolate.

Soon enough, I felt Noah's presence beside me as he grabbed a trolley.

"Ayo Arielle, hop in." Noah smirked, gesturing to the trolley.
"I'm not five." I scoffed.
"Oh come on. Loosen up, have some fun." He chuckled.
"I do, just not with you." I flicked my hair, looking up the different aisles for ice cream.
"Just Get in." He sighed.
"Or what?" I asked, stopping in my tracks.
"There is no 'or what'" He used his fingers as quotation marks.
"I'm just trying to show you that I'm not who you think i am." He added.
"You're a dick. You're exactly who I think you are." I quirked an eyebrow.
"But I'm not. That's just your opinion on me. You don't really know me. You don't give me a chance." He shook his head.
"And I'm not willing to give you one." I began walking again.

I take it Noah had given up with the whole trolley thing as he soon appeared beside me with a basket.
"Choose an ice cream." He sounded annoyed.
I opened up one of the freezers, picking out the Ben and Jerry's chocolate brownie ice cream. Noah joined me with the Ben and Jerry's but grabbing the cookie dough. Mmmm.

Once we had queued up and paid, the walk back to the car was awkward. It was so quiet. At least in the shop we had some sort of sound to drown out the silence, we have nothing now but the soft breeze blowing the leaves of the trees.

I hopped in the passenger side, strapping myself in whilst Noah put the shopping back on the back seat.
He then got in the front beside me, starting the engine and whacking the volume up on the radio. I covered my ears, hating the loudness.
"Turn it down." I glared at him.
I noticed his jaw clenched as he reversed out of the space. What's gotten his knickers in a twist?
I rolled my eyes. He wasn't going to turn the volume down so I guess I'll do it myself.

I reached forward, about to turn the music down but Noah swatted my hand away, giving me an intense glare.
"Don't touch." He almost growled. Jeez.

I slouched back in my chair, folding my arms over my chest as he sped off down the road. I hope he doesn't kill us driving at this speed. Bloody hell.
