Arielle's PoV
"George." A wide smile spread across my features as my brother stood in front of me, shades covering his eyes.
"Hello, little sis." He dropped his big duffle bag down to the floor and held his arms out to me. I instantly ran into them, snuggling into his chest. I hadn't seen him for well over a year now.
"What are you doing here?" I pulled back to look at him. His hair was a little shorter than the last time I had seen him and boy has he put on some muscle.
"I heard the good news. Thought I'd surprise everyone." The shouting between Noah and Kelly had stopped now.
"The news?" I asked but before he answered me, he pulled off his sunglasses, his eyes fixed on the person behind me.
"And you must be the wonderful lady that stole my dads heart." He placed his bottom lip in between his teeth, smiling.I stepped aside as he walked past me, pulling Kelly in for a tight hug.
"Congratulations!" He exclaimed. Kelly was looking at me over his shoulder, completely oblivious as to who he was.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry-" George pulled back.
"I haven't introduced myself." He was shocked by his rudeness.
"I'm George, Michaels Son." He introduced himself.
"Oh my, I've heard so much about you!" Kelly pulled him in for another hug, finally realising who he was.
"Does Michael know you're here?" She asked.
"No, I thought I'd surprise him. Is he here?" George asked, looking back to me.
"He's not long left for work." I shook my head.
"He'll be back just after six. Here, let me show you to your room. Are you staying for long?" Kelly asked as she took my brother up the stairs to which I'm presuming to be the spare bedroom.
"Only for a couple of days or so." He smiled.
"If that's ok?" He asked.
"Of course." She grinned.
"Noah! Grab George's bag!" Kelly called to her son from the top of the stairs.Noah scoffed, looking to me then to the bag that sat on the doorstep.
"I'm not taking that." He stuffed his hands in his jogging bottom pockets.
I sighed at him, reaching down to pick up the bag. I pursed my lips as I lifted it. Oh my goodness, this is heavy. What on earth has he got in this? Is he moving in? Jesus.
Noah noticed my struggling and he was quick to take it from me.
"I'm not taking this for him, I'm taking it because I don't want to watch you struggle." He pecked my cheek, his eyes going wide once he realised the small gesture. I gulped, brushing my hands down my top awkwardly.
"I'm sorry." He apologised before carrying George's bag up the stairs.
I shut the front door, placing my back to it. It was only a kiss on the cheek. Friends do that all the time. I don't think too much into it and I head into the front room, searching for the remote.I can't believe George is here. I have missed him beyond words. When he left us to study musical theatre in London, I didn't know how to cope. It wasn't long after mums death so losing my brother to London around the same time was just as hard.
"And this is the front room." Kelly has finished her little house tour to my brother and he looked around in awe.
"You've got a lovely home, Kelly." He spoke sweetly.
"Thank you, my dear." All her anger towards Noah had disappeared. She seemed more ecstatic to see my brother than I was.
"Can I get you a drink?" She asked as he sat down beside me on the sofa.
"A cup of coffee would be great please. The plane ride over here was horrible." He chuckled to which she nodded.
"Ari?" She asked.
"I'm all good thank you." I smiled. Kelly's so overly nice but it's what makes her so special. With a nod of the head, she left us to go into the kitchen to make some drinks.
"So is that douche bag her son?" George snickered.
"His names Noah." I corrected him.
"And yes" I began to flick through the channels.
"What's with all the cuts and bruises? Is he some sort of boxer?" He asked.
"No. He got himself into a little bit of a predicament last night. Had a fight with a few people." I answered.
"So anger issues? Got it." He nudged his leg with my own.
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes at him.Yes, Noah can give cold introductions. I don't know why he does it but he doesn't take to meeting new people very well. Plus, George is a bit of a tease... I'm sure he's going to love winding Noah up for the next couple of days. God, I dread to think.
"So how have you been anyway? Been up to much since I last saw you?" George changed the subject. Thank the heavens.
"Same old same old really." I shook my head.
"Besides meeting Kelly and Noah, not a lots happened." I shrugged my shoulders, completely skipping out the fact that Noah and I were an item at one point.
"What about you?" I asked him.
"Sophie and I are expecting." He grinned widely to which my jaw dropped.
"Sophie?" I asked. I didn't even know about this girl yet here I am, being told that I'm going to be an auntie at any given point.
"I met her last year at the performing arts school. Things got serious pretty quickly and now she's up the duff." He laughed. He seems way too chill. He's going to be a father for goodness sake.
"How long have you known?" Why hadn't he told us sooner.
"Not long." He shrugged his shoulders.
"She's due within the next seven months. That's another reason why I came over here. I wanted to tell you and dad face to face." George explained.
"Oh my god. I'm going to be an auntie." I breathed out but before anymore could be said, Kelly walked back in with hers and George's drinks."Thank you." George took it from her, placing it on the glass table beside him, making sure to sit it on the coaster.
"So, tell me a bit about yourself. Your dad isn't very good at talking about people." Kelly laughed, looking towards george.I still can't get around the fact that he's going to be a dad. My older brother is having a baby. I'm going to be an auntie. Holy...
