Arielle's PoV

"I can't believe how chill he was about it." Noah laughed, shaking his head. We were talking about our parents. My mum and his dad.
"Wait..." I began, sitting up a little more and looking at him with a goofy grin.
"So your mum caught you making out with some girl in your bed, went and told your dad and he came back like 'next time, change the lock.'" I laughed. Noah's Dad seemed really cool. I wish I had the chance to meet him. Then again, Noah and I wouldn't even know each other...
"Yeah, she told him to give me some sort of beating." He chuckled, pulling his hood over his head. It was getting really cold just sitting here.
"Your Dad seemed cool." I smiled.
"He was." He nodded his head.
"Tell me more about your mum." He stood up, holding out a hand for myself.
"She was much like me." I started, placing my hand in his and intertwining our fingers.
"Did you get your crazy ass hair from her?" He snickered. I gasped, hitting him with my free hand.
"I actually got my hair from my dads side. He never had curly hair but his mum did. It was insane, worse than mine in fact." I laughed, feeling Noah stuff our hands into his coat pocket.
"Imagine if your dad had this massive Afro." He chuckled.
"Oh sweet Jesus. It would be terrifying." I laughed.

Soon after that we changed the subject to pets, saying how much we wished our parents would invest in a dog. It would be great.
We had now met up with Brandon and Jason again, massive smiles spread across their faces.
"You ready for the fireworks?" I asked.
"Bitch, I am the firework." Jason snapped his finger in front of my face, getting sassy. Brandon laughed at his boyfriends actions.
"Yeah, keep wishing, you loon." I giggled, turning my head back to Noah.
"What's the time?" I asked him.
"Ten to nine." He answered, flicking his eyes down to the watch on his wrist. Ok, so we have ten minutes to find a decent spot among the crowd of people that wait to see the fireworks.
"Arielle!" The sound of my best friend called. I snapped my head in his direction to see that he was standing beside the Ferris wheel.
"You want to watch the fire works on this?" Jason asked as Noah and I approached the wheel, our hands still connected.
I looked at Noah with a grin and he shrugged his shoulders.
"Why Not?" He flashed me a toothy smile. The ride would last about 15 minutes so that would be perfect for watching the fireworks.

Before I knew it, we were on the wheel, Noah and I sharing a pod whilst Jason and Brandon shared one a few seats ahead of us.
"Heights creep me out." I licked my lips, feeling us descend.
"You'll Be Fine." Noah smiled, taking my hand in his hand kissing it.
"How are you going to cope on an airplane, my love?" He smirked.
"Curl into a ball and cry." I laughed a little. I have never been a fan of heights but I don't really have a reason why.
"Sounds legit." He chuckled, resting his head on my shoulder as we rose to the top, stopping midway up. We had a clear view of the sky, making it perfect for us to see the fireworks.
"This is beautiful." I grinned, looking over the edge and below us. Everyone seemed so happy and comfortable in their environment.

Noah's PoV

Fireworks burst through the dark night, fiery blooms amongst the stars. The 'oohs' and 'ahhs' coming from below us. I inhaled, the gun powder smell taking me back to every bonfire night I went to when I was a child.
However, I was less interested in the display than Arielle, I was more drawn to her. Her adorable expressions when they explode and how they light up her face just as she smiles, like a perfect real life photograph. She was more perfect than she'll ever know and I can tell you right now that I'm definitely falling in love with this girl.

"Be my girlfriend." I burst out. Arielle's head snapped in my direction, her eyebrows furrowed.
"What?" She seemed shocked, like she didn't think she heard my question properly.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked, a wide grin spreading across her features. I didn't care about our parents anymore, I wanted things between us to be official so I can call her mine.
"I'd be honoured." She giggled, jumping slightly as I firework went off above us. Our eyes never broke contact and I grabbed her face, smashing our lips together. Not only was there a firework display going off in front of us but there was an even bigger one in my stomach. She got me feeling things I never thought I could feel. I had never been in love before so the feeling is so new to me. I wonder if she felt the same way?
I pulled back from the kiss, smiles on both of our faces.
"Get some, Arielle!" Jason cheered from the seat a couple of pods in front of us. Ari laughed, her cheeks going a bright shade of red. I chuckled at her, wrapping my arm around her shoulder and pulling her into me to watch the rest of the display.

Having Arielle in my arms right now felt great. Her head nuzzled into my chest, her eyes squinting every time she looked up at the flash of a firework. How we're going to make this work between us, I don't know but we have plenty of time during the days, whilst are parents are at work, to spend time together. It's weird isn't it how they say your opposites attract. I never thought that saying was true until I met Arielle. We're not the same. We don't have the same taste in music. I like hanging out with my friends and getting pissed in the middle of a field, she doesn't. She has a sweet personality where as mine is more on the cocky side. We're just totally different but that's ok. I like her and thats all that matters.
