Arielles PoV
"Reckon the boys like salted?" Kelly asked, pulling a packet of salted popcorn off the shelf.
"Sweet is the safe option." I laughed, standing on my tiptoes to reach the top shelf where I picked up the sweet popcorn.
"Mix and match?" She quirked an eyebrow. I'm guessing she's a sucker for salted popcorn. I'm not the biggest fan of it myself but mixed with sweet popcorn, it's actually pretty tasty.
"Sure." I nodded my head with a smile.Kelly and I were sent into the little local supermarket whilst my dad and Noah remained in the car. Noah was set on just us two going in but Kelly jumped up at the chance to join me before he could. I'm not mad about it, Kelly's quite fun company. Even if it is for just five minutes.
"Seeing as we're not really doing dinner tonight, I think we should grab some bits to do a small buffet thing? What do you say?" Kelly asked as she placed the popcorn in the basket and turned to face me.
"A buffet sounds great now." I grinned, feeling my stomach churn. Man, I was hungry. That hotdog from the food stand earlier definitely didn't satisfy my tummy.
I followed kelly to the fresh fruit and veg section of the supermarket and she picked up some strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, banana and some apples. I'm guessing she's got a big plan of a fruit salad in her mind. I'm not one to complain, fruit salad lights up my life. Sad, I know. After picking up some more groceries and chatting about my dad being this amazing romantic again, we headed back to the car. I helped Kelly put the couple of bags in the boot and hopped in the car besides Noah.
"God, you took your time." Noah snickered.
"We could always go back in there and grab a few more things, couldn't we kelly?" I gave a sarcastic response and tried to hide the smirk that was creeping it's way upon my face.
"Oh god, don't. There was so much to choose from." She laughed, fixing her hair that had slightly blew around from the cool breeze outside.
"Why'd you get so much anyway? Thought you only went in there for popcorn." My dad asked, peering over his shoulders as he reversed out of the space.
"Kelly had the marvellous plan of making us a buffet." I answered, the feeling of Noah's fingers tugged slightly at my baby finger that laid between us. I looked towards him and could just about make out his features in the darkness. He had a goofy grin on his face and looked down at our hands. My head titled towards them, watching as he slipped his hand into my own, my heart fluttering. No matter what this boy did, every touch of his sent sparks through my body.
"A buffet sounds so good right now." Dad sighed happily, reaching over from the steering wheel and placing his hand on his girlfriends thigh. Cute. The rest of the ride home was peaceful, we were all clearly quite tired from the snorkelling adventures and being out in the sun all day. I may even say that I'm too tired for this buffet and film but I wouldn't want to miss out.
The second we got back to our villa, kelly and my dad were out in the kitchen preparing our food whilst Noah and I surfed Netflix in the front room for a good film to watch."No. I don't want to watch some chick flick." Noah shook his head as I hovered over '27 dresses'.
"Oh come on, it's a good film." I pouted.
"Looks shit." He mumbled, looking down at me. I was sat on the floor in front of the tv, not wanting to get too comfy just yet incase I was to fall asleep before food was done. All I do is think about food really. It's quite bad. But then again, is there really anything else better than food? Sex with Noah. My subconscious answered. Images of our intimate night flashed through my mind and I could feel my cheeks heat in seconds. Stop it Arielle.
"It's not shit." I frowned, watching as the trailer began to play.
"You probably only like it because it's got that guy you fancy in it." I turned around to look at him and he had his eyebrow quirked. I'm assuming he's talking about James Marsden.
"He's a very attractive man." I shrug my shoulders as I continue to look through Netflix. God, when did the films on this get so crap?
"I'm a very attractive man!" Noah stood up from the sofa and stood behind me, his hands running through my hair.
"That you are." I giggled quietly hoping our parents hadn't just heard our little conversation.
I tilted my head back to look at the boy towering over me and he bent down to kiss my lips gently.Soon enough, dad and Kelly had brought in the buffet of food which consisted of; sweet and salted popcorn, a massive bowl of fruit salad, mmmm... some sausage rolls, mozzarella dippers, a few different flavours of crisps and some chicken nuggets. Boy I can't wait to get my hands on that food.
"You found a film yet?" My dad asked as he took a handful of crisps from the table and fell down to the sofa.
"She wanted to watch 27 dresses but I politely declined." Noah answered before I could, poking his tongue out at me.
"You said no to 27 dresses?! My god I haven't raised you right." Kelly gasped at her son before popping open the bottle of Champagne we had purchased earlier.
"Just because you fancy that James guy or whatever his name is." My dad rolled his eyes at her, shoving several crisps into his mouth as he spoke. Charming.
"Oh Jesus, you two are more alike than I thought." Noah chuckled at his mum and I.
"What? He's very handsome." Kelly winked at me, handing me a glass of champagne. I laughed and thanked her before passing the remote to my dad. He can select a film, that way I don't feel responsible for putting on something that someone doesn't like. Easy.
