Arielle's PoV
I hurried down the stairs as I heard my dads keys twist in the lock. Kelly, Noah and I all stood in the hallway as he walked in, his eyes filled with confusion as he looked at us.
We must look super suspicious standing here in a line like this.
"Um hello?" My dad hung his coat up before kicking off his shoes.
"Nice day at work, dear?" Kelly asked, walking up to him and pecking his lips.I gave a glance at Noah who was already looking at me. We've never looked away from each other so quickly in our lives.
"You're all acting weird, why?" My dad questioned, placing his keys down on the hallway table.
"Go sit down love, I'll make you a drink." Kelly pecked him on the cheek, turning to Noah and I with a wink. She's so not subtle about surprises at all.
I followed my dad into the front room, trying to look for George. Where did he hide in the end?"Is she acting weird to you?" My dad asked me as he took a seat on the sofa. I shrugged my shoulders and before I knew it, George jumped out from behind the sofa.
"Surprise!" His loud voice bellowed throughout the room, my dad jumping out of his skin. The second he realised who it was, he stood up with a gasp.
"Son!" He exclaimed, pulling George in for a tight hug.As I watched the adorable reunion unfold in front of my eyes, Noah stood beside me, his hands in his pocket. I pressed my lips together, the need for him had slightly died down now and I didn't feel like I would jump his bones any second.
"What are you doing here?" My dad said, still not letting go of his first child.
"I got your text and thought I'd come and surprise you." George laughed, pulling away and looking up at my dad. George wasn't much shorter than him but I think my dad is just thankful that he's not taller than him. George would continuously tease him if that was the case but now my dads always got one up on him.
"Well surprised I am." My dad chuckled loudly.
"George is very kindly taking us out for dinner tonight." Kelly appeared from the kitchen.
"Tables booked for half seven." George nodded his head.
"Gives you an hour to get ready, love." Kelly noticed the look on my dads face. I knew he liked to have a lot of time to prepare for things like this. An hour should definitely give him enough time.
"Thank you." His voice cracked as he looked back at George. Oh my god. Is he going to cry?And on that note, I'm going to go and get ready.

"Well I think you should wear that red dress." My best friend spoke over facetime.
"Kelly suggested that I wore this one." I held up a lavender coloured dress.
"She's not wrong, the colour compliments your skin tone so nicely." Jason rested his elbows up on his desk as he admired the dress.
"Again, I've never worn it." I laugh, turning it back to face me again. It was a gorgeous dress, I just don't know if I have the right curves to fill it out, you know?
"Typical Arielle Hartman style." He rolled his eyes playfully.
"Of course." I grinned.
"You seem much happier today." Jason spoke after seeing me smile again.
"I guess I am." I shrugged.
"George is here and Noah and I have sorted things, I think." I frowned slightly at my mention of Noah.
"The look on your face says otherwise." He quirked an eyebrow.
"I'll fill you in on any details another time. I've gotta go otherwise I'll make us late." I didn't really want to talk about the Noah situation and everything that happened last night.
"Gotcha." He nodded his head.
"You free tomorrow?" I asked him.
"I'm seeing Brandon in the morning but I'll be over your way in the afternoon. I want to know if George is still as attractive as he was when I was 16." Jason smirked.
"You're so weird." I laughed.
"But you love me." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"You know I do." I cooed.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow, my gorgeous. Have fun tonight." He blew me a kiss.
"I'll try." I giggled, blowing him one back before I ended the call.Right, time to get ready. I've already wasted twenty minutes.
I slipped myself into the dress, struggling with the zip behind my back. Thankfully I managed to do it up, smoothing the dress out in my mirror. Okay, this dress is cute and it actually hugs my figure perfectly. The small spaghetti straps sat on my shoulders nicely, holding the dress up over my boobs. It was very flattering. However, its not too warm out tonight so ill probably have to pair it with either my leather or denim jacket. I haven't quite decided yet.
I moved on to my makeup next, sitting down at my table, looking at all of the makeup I scattered in front of me. Where to start...
I first mixed a bit of my foundation with some of my moisturiser, slapping it onto my face with a rounded brush. I'm sure Jason uses that weird sponge but I just can't get to grips with it, it eats up all my product. I didn't want to go too over the top tonight, I wanted to stay natural.
I powdered it down a tiny bit before adding some blusher and bronzer. Instantly, I looked healthier. For my eyes, I just applied some mascara, my long lashes complimenting my eyes perfectly. Last but not least, I added some non sticky lipstick because those are the worst. Am I right or am I right?
I then removed my hair out of the messy bun, grimacing once I saw the state of it. I didn't have time to straighten it so I just brushed through it, placing it in a neat bun on the top of my head. That was much better.
With a spritz of my perfume, I slipped my black pumps onto my feet before deciding to put my leather jacket over my shoulders and I headed out of my room, closing the door behind me.
As I did so, Noah exited his bedroom, his eyes going wide once he saw me.
"What? Have I missed a bit?" I reached around my head, scared that I had left a massive chunk out.
"N-No. You look-" His eyes travelled up and down my body.
"Beautiful." He whispered. I blushed as brought a hand up to my face in a shy manner. It was only then when I noticed he wasn't dressed up, he was still wearing his clothes from earlier.
"You're wearing that?" I quirked an eyebrow.
"I'm not going." He shook his head.
"Why?" I frowned. Part of me really wanted him to go tonight.
"Mum said I'd attract unwanted attention." He then gestured to the cuts and bruises on his face.
"She said it's embarrassing to be seen with me when I look like this." He pursed his lips. He actually seemed a little hurt by her words.
"Noah..." I wanted to hug him.
"No, its fine. I'm just going to raid the alcohol cabinet." He forced a grin before he walked past me to the bathroom. I grabbed his hand to stop him.
"Don't drink too much and do something stupid." I gave him a stern look.
"Don't worry about me. Have fun tonight." He pulled out of my grip and entered the bathroom. So he's going to be off his head when we get back later.
