Arielle's PoV

The weekend was a drag. Jason had gone away with that 'Brandon' guy who he still claims is a friend, I am not convinced. I spent all of Saturday watching Netflix and when my dad got home, I stayed up in my room. However, yesterday, my dad didn't work. He never works Sunday. I tried my hardest to stay in my room all day but then the hunger kicked in. Long story short, my dad and I have made up again.

It was now Monday and I was pacing outside Zara, waiting for it to hit 11 o'clock. I was a nervous wreck.
"I shouldn't have come." I shook my head, looking at Jason.
"You'll do great. It's just an interview." Jason didn't understand my anxiety about them. I hated them with a burning passion and I honestly didn't know why.
"Times ticking. Get in there and show them what you've got." He opened up the door, pushing me inside. I attempted to fight against him but a girl who worked here, came up to us.
"Is everything ok?" She seemed sweet.
"Uh yeah." I turned around to see Jason but he had already legged it out of the shop.
"I'm actually here for an interview with Jim at 11." I explained.
"Oh yes, you must be Arielle?" She asked. It's actually pronounced r-ee-el, but I guess it'll do.
"Yeah, that's me." I smiled.
"If you follow me..." She began to walk off in the directions of the till, me following behind her like a sheep. There's no running away from this now.

Before I could even blink, I was sat on a chair opposite Jim's. He looked at me with a smile as he twiddled his pen around in his fingers.
"So Arielle. That's how you pronounce it, right?" He asked. He actually knew how to say my name. Well done Jim.
"Yeah." I laughed a little.
"Good." He licked his lips before looking down at the piece of paper that sat on the desk.
"So, What do you know about Zara?" He asked, relaxing in his seat slightly. My heart raced. What do I know? Fuck all. That's it. I didn't know I'd get asked that question. What's the point in it?
I looked around the room, rubbing my sweaty palms on my white jeans.
"It's a clothing store that's very popular around the world." I bullshitted.
"Ok." He nodded his head, looking at me as if to say 'continue'.
I stayed silent and he leant forward again.
"Whats intriguing about working in Zara?" He placed his elbows up on the desk, his hands clasping together.
"I'm a big lover of fashion." Yet again, bullshit.
"I like to try out with all the new trends, see if they suit my personality or not." Lies.
"Interesting." He looked back down at his paper.
"Would you prefer to be a sales assistance or a cashier?" He asked. I thought about this for a while.
"Either. I'm fine with any position." Oh great. Why did I say that? Now my dirty mind is running wild.
"And your availability. When are you available?" He questioned.
"I'm always available." I nodded my head. It's true. I never have anything better to do with my time.
"Great." He smiled.
"I'll give you a call later and let you know how you got on." He stood up from his chair, walking around the desk and to the front door.
"Thank you." I tucked my hair behind my ears before also standing up.

Soon enough, I was outside again, in search for my best friend.
"Where is He?" I mumbled to myself, checking my phone for any messages. I had nothing except from a message from my dad saying that we were going over to Kelly's tonight.

"Guess what I got." A voice startled me from behind. I turned around, seeing Jason with a McDonald's bag. I wide grin spread across my features.
"I'm so hungry." I went to take it from his hands but he snatched it away.
"Uh Uh... what do you say?" He asked, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lip.
"Thank you." I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Good girl." He chuckled, handing me the bag before keeping his own.
"So, how did it go?" Jason asked as I took a bite from my burger.
"It went good." I nodded my head.
"He said he was going to call me later and that was it." I shrugged my shoulders.
"It was a he?" He asked, his eyes wide.
"Was he hot?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Ew no. He was like 50." I hit his arm, laughing.
"Dang it." He groaned.

As Jay and I made our way over to my car, my phone rang in my pocket.
"Yo, hold my McDonald's." I handed the bag to Jason before answering my phone.
"Hello?" I asked, pressing it to my ear.
"Ari, it's me." My dads voice filed down the phone.
"Hey Dad." I unlocked my car.
"Whats up?" I questioned as I opened up the drivers door, climbing in and waiting for Jason to get himself ready in the passenger side.
"Can I ask a really big favour?" He asked.
"Sure..." this already didn't sound good.
"Would you be able to pick Noah up from the station please?" He asked.
"Why?" I was quick to respond. Noah had his own car. Besides, what was he doing at the station?
"Please Arielle. Kelly will pay you petrol later. It's just that he apparently got stranded and has no way home." Dad explained.
"Why can't Kelly get him?" I asked.
"She's at work. Please, Arielle." He almost sounded like he was begging.
"Ugh fine." I groaned.
"Thank you." And with that, I hung up, angrily stuffing the keys into the ignition.
"What's up?" Jason asked, stuffing a chicken nugget into his mouth.
"We have to go and pick Noah up." I watched as his facial expression changed from confused to happy. He then realised my not so excited mood and his face dropped.
"Nugget?" He asked, holding one out under my nose.
I huffed, snatching it out of his hand and shoving it into my mouth.

Off to get Noah we go...
