Arielle's PoV

"I think you're turning me straight." Jason's eyes widened as I stepped out of my ensuite, dressed in the red silk body-con dress he chose.
"You don't think it's too much?" I asked, running my hands down the silk.
"Nuh uh honey, you look great." He rushed over to me, giving me a bone crushing hug.
I laughed, my arms stuck at my side due to them not being able to move.
"Arielle!" My Dad called up the stairs.
"They'll be here in half an hour!" He added. Jason pulled back from the hug, his eyes scanning my face.
"Makeup time." He wiggled his eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes playfully, stepping towards my mirror and looking at my outfit. I was never a big fan of dresses, mainly because I wasn't very confident in my own body. It's not that I thought I was fat, it's just because I lack self confidence.
"I don't know." I shook my head, frowning.
"You don't know what?" Jason turned to look at me whilst he was laying out my makeup on the dressing table.
"I don't feel comfortable." I moved my arms around, tilting my neck to the side.
"But you look so good." His jaw dropped.
"I know but I just feel like it's a lot for a meal." I spoke.
"Which let me add, is at our own home." I added, turning around to look at Jason instead of looking at him in the mirror.
"Let's do your makeup and then see how you feel." He said.
"Make up fixes everything." He chuckled, waving a powder brush in the air.
"Ok." I sighed, my long legs strolling over to my dresser where I sat down in the chair, looking at Jason. I take it he's doing my makeup but that's ok because I trust him. I actually trust him more than I trust myself. Sometimes I let him practise on my face and he'd make some incredible looks.
"Shall we go very natural with a red lip or bold with a nude lip?" He asked.
"Natural." I nodded my head. I wasn't too much of a fan of makeup either. Taking it all off at night was a pain in the ass.

After about 20 minutes, Jason had started spraying something all over my face and I squealed, pulling back.
"What is that?" I asked, eyeing the spray bottle.
"It's setting spray, my love." He answered.
"I found it in your heap of makeup." He laughed, his left cheek dimple showing ever so slightly.
"I have setting spray?" I asked, frowning. I had never seen that before and I really don't remember purchasing it. How long have I had it for? Eww...
"Yes. Now let me set your face." He stepped closer to me again, me closing my eyes and letting him spray my face. It felt horrible and so wet. Gross.

I opened up my eyes, watching as he set the bottle on my table.
"You ready for the reveal?" He asked. I smiled nervously, nodding my head. Jason grabbed a mirror, holding it up in front of my face and my eyes widened.
"Wow." Was the only word to leave my lips. He did such a great job. I felt beautiful.
"You like?" He asked.
"I love." I squealed, jumping up and pulling him in for a hug.
"Thank you." I pecked his cheek, leaving a small red mark there from my lipstick.
"Anytime." He showed of his pearly whites before I walked back over to the big mirror.
"I think I might keep the dress on." I spoke, readjusting the shoulder strap.
"Good." He said.

I then jumped at the sound of the doorbell, turning round to Jason with a panicked expression.
"They're here." I breathed out. Jason was quick to run over to my bedroom window, looking down at the front door which was just below us.
"I can't see them." He groaned.
"Well, I guess this is my cue to leave." He pouted, turning to look at me.
"I'll see you out." I nodded my head, grabbing my phone walking to my bedroom door.
"Uh hold up. Where are your shoes?" He quirked an eyebrow.
"I'm in my house, shoes aren't necessary." I rolled my eyes.
"First impressions are everything." He rushed over to my shoe rack, picking up a pair of little black pumps.
"Yeah and their first impressions of me is the 'weird girl that wears shoes around her house'" I raised my eyebrows as he threw them on the floor in front of me.
"Just wear them." He huffed.
"Fine." I licked my lips, slipping my small feet into the shoes before taking Jason's hand in my own.
"Come on." I mumbled.

As soon as we exited the bedroom, I could hear talking downstairs.
"Arielle should be down any second." I heard my dad say as I reached the top of the stairs, Jason's arm linked in my own.
"Ahh, there She is." My Dad grinned, looking up at me. All other two heads soon turned in our direction and I suddenly felt really anxious, mainly because her son is really freaking hot. No Arielle, you can't be thinking like that. He's basically your stepbrother now.
Jason's grip on my arm tightened as we walked down the stairs.
"And Jason." I think Dad probably thought that Jason left earlier. Ha, He was wrong.
"Hi. I'm just leaving. Enjoy." Jason quickly pecked my right cheek before slipping out of the front door and leaving me. Noooo... come back.

I awkwardly turned on my heel to this blonde lady who I had never met before.
"Hi, I'm Kelly." She smiled widely at me before pulling me in for a friendly hug. Woah, I was just going to go in for a hand shake but I guess a hug is ok too.
"Arielle." I nodded my head at her before looking at her son. He currently had his eyes on me, making me feel nervous.
"This is Noah." Kelly pointed to her son.
"Noah, say hi." His mum cut him out of his trance.
"Hi." He gave a small wave.
"Hi." I did the same. Wow, that wasn't awkward at all. Note the sarcasm.
"Shall we head to the front room?" My Dad asked, breaking the silence.
"Oh yes, sure." Kelly linked her arm in my dads and they wandered off to the front room together.

I gave Noah a small glance, noticing that he was on his phone and I followed my dad and Kelly.

This evening could end up going really well or I could really hate it... only time will tell.
