Arielle's PoV

"It was so nice to meet you, Arielle." Kelly grinned as she pulled me in for a tight hug. Noah and herself were now leaving as they had to get up early for work tomorrow. Noah was driving though seeing as Kelly was way over the limit.
"You too." I smiled at her as we pulled back from the hug.

Her and my dad exchanged goodbyes and a few kisses whilst Noah and I stood there awkwardly.
"Mum, come on." Noah mumbled, tapping his foot on the floor impatiently.
"Alright alright, I'm coming." She rolled her eyes, sending me one last smile.
"Goodbye!" She waved.
"Bye!" We spoke back in unison, watching as they got themselves in the car. I didn't know if was her car or Noah's but it was very nice regardless.
I was a little shocked that Noah didn't even bother to say bye or wave as we shut the front door.

"So, how'd you like her?" My Dad asked.
"She's nice." I yawned, nodding my head.
"Noah's weird though." I frowned.
"He's a quiet kid. I'm sure he'll warm up to us soon." Dad replied.
"I hope so. I don't want a dickhead stepbrother." I mumbled.
"You can't say that." He chuckled.
"I just did." I smirked, yawning yet again.
"Get some sleep sweet. I'll see you in the morning." He pecked my forehead before I walked off upstairs and into my bedroom.

Now for the hard part; taking all of this makeup off and changing. Ugh, the effort.

I grabbed some wipes, wiping off the majority of my makeup before washing my face in the bathroom. My skin was soon free from makeup and I quickly cleaned my teeth before lazily walking back into the bedroom.
I grabbed some jogging bottoms and a vest top out of my wardrobe, ripping off the dress and changing into the comfy clothes. It felt good to be so comfortable.

Within seconds, I was in my warm bed, snuggling under the covers. I loved winter cold nights. I felt so happy and cosy. It was nice.
As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

"So why don't you like Noah?" Jason asked as he took a handful of my popcorn, shoving it into his mouth.
"It's not that I don't like him, we're just very different people." I shrugged my shoulders, my attention turning back to the tv as Jake and Amy shared their first kiss. I mentally 'aww'd at the two. Brooklyn nine nine was one of my all time favourite shows. I've watched it through twice on my own and now a third time with jay.
"How?" He quizzed.
"I don't know." I shook my head.
"I don't really know him well enough to judge him but he hardly spoke, that's all." I replied. I couldn't really tell whether I liked Noah or not. I had no clue if we'd get on but I guess we'll find out. I hope my dad stays with Kelly. They both seem genuinely happy together and that made me happy.
"Well I mean, I'd love to get to know the boy." Jason smirked.
"Of course you would." I rolled my eyes playfully.
"What? He's a very attractive guy." Jay defended himself, shoving another handful of popcorn into his mouth.

Jason and I spent the rest of the morning stuffing our faces with food and watching movies. That was until he had to go back home because his mum was panicking about his whereabouts. Even if she knew he was at mine, she'd want him back at a certain time.

I was now sitting alone up in my bedroom, the faint music from my record player filling the room as I read a book. I should get out more. I sit at home all day everyday and it gets very boring. I had a job not too long ago but they fired me due to "lack of appearance". Being a barista isn't all that fun. I don't know how Noah can keep up with it.
Suddenly my phone went off. I turned my head, noticing that I had a text from an unknown number. I frowned, grabbing my phone and opening it up.

FROM UNKNOWN
Hi hun, it's Kelly. How are you? I hope you don't mind that your dad gave me your number, I just wanted to say thank you for making Noah and I feel so welcome last night. I know it must be hard having all this pile on you so soon but I hope we can all get on well and see what the future holds x

Why doesn't my dad ever tell me before he's giving people my number? I quickly saved her number as a contact before replying.

TO KELLY
Hey Kelly :) I'm good thank you, how are you? It was so lovely to meet you last night and I'm very happy that Dad has found someone so special like you. I've haven't seen him so chirpy in a long time x

I placed my phone down on my bed, not expecting a message back from her in a while as she's most probably working.

I was now distracted for reading so I folded over my current page, placing the book on my nightstand. I'm so bored and Jason wasn't here to entertain me. What to do... what to d- oooo, I know. Tidy up my room. Nahhh, that's boring and I can't be bothered. Ugh.
I guess I could go out shopping or something and spend the few remaining pounds I have left in my bank. Yeah, sounds perfect. I love making myself bankrupt.

I stood up from my bed and found some more appropriate clothes to go out in, seeing as I was still in my pyjamas. I settled on some black leggings, a white top and a red and black checkered flannel which I tied around my waist so my outfit didn't look so boring. I then paired that with my white converse.
My hair was still pretty straight from last night so I just pulled it up into a messy bun before moving onto my makeup.

Seeing as I was bored, I decided to experiment a bit; putting on some foundation, powder, highlighter, bronze, eyebrows, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick. The whole shebang. I actually kind of liked this makeup look so I snapped a few pictures, choosing my favourite and posting it to Instagram.

I don't get many likes on my Instagram due to the lack of friends but when I do, I get really nice comments along with it. Much like the one Jason just posted. I swear he has my post notifications on.

@jaseme WOOO GURL 😍 GET IT SISTAAAA

I hearted his comment and closed the app down, grabbing my bag, phone, purse and keys before heading downstairs to my car. Yes, I can drive and gosh do I suck at it. The amount of times I've almost crashed and killed people baffles me. Key word; almost. How I passed my driving test, I don't know.
