Thirty Three - The Accident

It's been two weeks since The Hebi flew abroad for their concert tour. Naruto had been busy dealing with all the preparations for their wedding next two months. At the same time, his son has been kept busy with school.

Itachi on the other hand, although busy with all the paperwork and meetings at their company had enough time to think over about what Kyuubi had told him about Naruto.

He first met Naruto at the hospital. Back then, his uncle Izuna asked him to fetch him from the hospital and bring him over to one of their rest house outside the city. Seeing Naruto sleeping in a hospital bed with a bandage on his forehead, traces of bruises, scars and even hickeys were spotted by his onyx eyes making him pity the blonde boy in front of him.

It wasn't hard to gain the blonde's trust when he introduced himself as nephew of Izuna. Naruto had been very grateful that Izuna was there to help him during the crucial time of his life. Itachi and Naruto get along pretty well and when Izuna asked Itachi to look after Naruto after learning his memory loss, Itachi didn't hesitate to take responsibility. When he went abroad because of their family business, Izuna processed all the papers needed for Naruto to come along with Itachi. The rest is history.

Now, learning what his fiancè had gone through had gave him mixed emotions. He felt hurt thinking how bad Naruto's life had been. He felt hatred to those people who put Naruto's life in danger. When Kyuubi said he wants to make sure those people will get their fair share of suffering like his brother had, he objected and said he wants to return the suffering tenfold and make sure that even the family and relatives of those bastards will also suffer.

Right now, only few people have been told about Naruto's past. Nagato and Yahiko had been told and they are investigating on it already. They sent the freak trio to look after the people in question and made sure all are identified and guarded.

Nagato and Yahiko being the pacifist they are , don't plan on bringing justice with their own hands hence they are only tracing those people for the sake of their beloved friend and nephew. Also, Nagato knew that once his sister Kushina learned about the truth, they will have to make sure to isolate her as she for sure will go bersek and start throwing and breaking things she touched.

Who would have thought that the ball of sunshine who is dear to him was a victim of abuse. He had a faint smile on his face when suddenly out of nowhere he somehow heard his fiancè' voice saying " I realized life is short and I don't want to dwell in the past. If I had a bad life in the past I will make sure that my future will erase those bad ones. I am happy where I am now and who is with me. And I am thankful that Itachi and Sachi is here with me and you guys" that was Naruto's statement when he was asked by Konan on what he'll do if his memory returns and turns out it was a bad memory.

Itachi had thought that had he not met Naruto, he wouldn't be able to get serious on a relationship. Well, none of his relationships before Naruto worked out though. You are considered dead lucky if Itachi would spare time to look let alone talk to you.

He never really had a serious commitment because most of his relationships were because of business alliances. Eventhough, back then, Izumi confessed to him, Itachi never took advantage of his friend's feelings to date her for the sake of a ' normal ' relationship. He thought that Izumi is such a good person and deserve a better man to which he was glad to find out that his bestfriend Shisui proposed to her and they eventually got married.

Naruto may not be the most pretty face he ever dated and you could say he was way out of Itachi's preference ( except from Naruto being blonde) for a girlfriend or boyfriend but it didn't matter to him because the moment he got to know Naruto better, he fell inlove with his personality and his heart. He never thought he'd fell inlove with the blonde and it was too late to prevent falling from the ball of sunshine. There is just something in him that you would always want to be by his side, take care of him and keep him to yourself. This is proven because all of his friends felt the same way.
