My Brother's Fiancè

Sixty Two - Confide

Kyuubi was on his way to visit his younger brother at their hospital. He just got back from a medical mission early this morning and decided to watch over his brother for today.

His brother's room is located at the top floors were VIP patient's usually stays, however Naruto's room is quite far from the rest of the VIP rooms. The room he is occupying was once used by Kushina when she was hospitalized before.  Kyuubi was about to take a turn when he almost bump into a certain someone whose very familiar to him.

"Itachi! " he greeted the raven. Itachi just gave him a simple nod and passed by him making him confused.

He thought of catching up to him when he heard a shout from one of the rooms of the hospital's eight floor. He walks fast enough to reach the room, his heart beat suddenly gives an uncomfortable beat as he gets near his brother's room. Another shout of help came, he recognized the voice and was convinced that it was indeed coming from his brother's room.

The door was slightly opened and he was shocked to see Sakura sitting on the floor while holding his brother's unconscious body.

" What the hell happened? " he asked as he tried to lift his brother to put him on the bed.

" He just had an attack." she simply said while checking on Naruto. She pushed the emergency botton and instructed the head nurse at the floor to bring Naruto's medicine.

" How's he? " Kyuubi asked concern.

" He lost his consciousness exactly when I entered the room. It seems he only force the syringe off of his hand that cause the bleeding." she said.

Kyuubi stares at his brother's sleeping face. He was thinking what cause him to have a panic attack just now when he remembered seeing Itachi not too far from his room.

He took his phone from his pocket and dialed his bestfriend's number. It took several rings before the other answered.

" Where are you? " Kyuubi asked.

" I'll fetch Sachi at school." he answered in a monotone voice.

Kyuubi felt something was wrong but decided not to push it. He hangs up after he said "ok". He knew Itachi will never do something that will hurt his brother. Itachi loves Naruto so the last thing he would do is to hurt him.

Sakura was done checking on her bestfriend. She was giving instructions to the nurses assigned to watch over Naruto when Kyuubi interrupted them.

" I'll stay with him. You can just stay at your stations til then." Kyuubi said.

The nurses bow at him acknowledging the doctor's order.

Later that afternoon,  Kyuubi was caught sleeping in a chair near to Naruto's bed. Kushina and Deidara went inside the room discreetly. When Kushina saw a red head sitting at the chair she used to sit while looking at Naruto she instantly recognized her eldest son. She silently instructed her blonde son to prepare the food they brought before she approach her other sons.

She first check on Naruto and looking at the blonde whose peacefully sleeping she then gently place her hand on her eldest son cheek and rub it gently with her thumb as she tries to wake him up.

" Sweetheart, wake up.. " she softly said. The other release a not so audible grunt and lean in to his mother's touch.

Kushina just smiled and decided to just let his eldest son sleep. She knew that Kyuubi hasn't had enough sleep yet because the latter immediately go to their hospital as soon as he finished the medical mission he had to attend outside the city.
