My Brother's Fiancè

Sixty Four - Confrontation

Itachi was confused. He was in deep thought about the DNA test results he saw at his brother's office. His brother's name was clearly written on the test but whose child was tested? He has never heard of his brother being in a relationship with a woman, well, except from what his secretary told him that she once dated his brother. But Yugito did not have a child, then who could it be?

Itachi's thinking was interrupted by a loud laughter coming from the outside of his room. He heard a familiar voice stopping his son from moving while the kid keeps on giggling. He can imagine that his son is being chased by his blonde uncle at the hallway as he tried to catch his energetic son.

He stood from where he was sitting and approach his door. When he opened his door he was greeted by a noisy Deidara tickling the little one to death.

" Just how much louder can the two of you get? " Itachi asked while looking at the two who stopped and looked at him. Both are panting.

" I'm sorry Papa." said the kid who just got up and smiled at him.

Itachi didn't realize he has been staring at his son too much for the kid's liking. Until the kid called for him and asked what's wrong. Deidara was surprised to see how absentminded the old raven was, it took twice for the kid to call for his father's attention and Deidara's call for him to be back to his senses.

" It's almost dinner. Mom will be calling for both of you." he just said. As if on cue, one of the maid was in view as she was told to call for them.

" Aren't you going to eat? " Deidara asked him.

" I'll be down in a few. I just have to make a call. " he replied and close the door of his room.

Deidara sensing there's something with the way Itachi just stares at his nephew for a few minutes just followed the maid with his nephew. He also sensed something is off with his brother's behavior and Itachi's absence at the hospital for a few days.

Inside Itachi's room was a confused raven. For a minute he saw an image of his brother smiling back at him when Sasuke was a kid while looking at his son. And then it dawned on him, "Could it be that Sachi was the one who got tested?"

He took his phone out from his pocket and tried go contact Sasuke. He couldn't wait for Sasuke to come home. He needs to confirm his suspicion and not just speculate. Although, all signs and reasons are pointing at his son, he wanted to get all the answer from his brother. Unfortunately, he couldn't reach his brother as the call automatically went to his voicemail.

He tried to dialed thrice but same results until he gave up. His brain is messing up with him with questions.  Suddenly,  he remembers the time that Sasuke has had his nightmare. When his brother confessed doing something to a certain someone that caused him to suffer all this years.

"Could it be Naruto?." "Could it be that the result of his brother's mistake was his very own son? "

Itachi was unsettled. He needed to know everything. And so he did what he thinks maybe the answer or not.  He called his secretary whom he remembers once dated his otouto back when they were teenagers.

" Ms. Ni. Can you bring all the papers I needed to sign here." he ordered.

He had told Shisui to take care of the company while he is on vacation but there are still some papers and documents that needs his approval. He used this opportunity for the woman to come at the manor without having second thought of not going to their manor. He has noticed that Sasuke didn't like her presence and his secretary is the same.

It is best to speak with the woman in person rather than asking her over the phone. Itachi knows he may or may not get the answer to his question about his brother and Naruto but atleast it will give him a conclusion that the possibility of Sachi being tested as Sasuke's child is correct.
