My Brother's Fiancè

Sixty One - Decision III

To say Itachi was shocked was an understatement. The truth is , he really can't find a word to describe what he is feeling right now. When he heard the word "call off " his hearing went blank. As if the statement was too deafening for him to comprehend what his fiancé just said.

" Why? " was all he could say.

" Didn't you hear what I just told you?  I was abused." Naruto replied. His voice was now clear.  The crying has stopped. He intend to talk this out to his fiancè in a way that he would understand what he wanted.

" And so? " Itachi said in a flat tone, challenging the other to explain more.

" Come on,  I know you understand what I mean. " Naruto said.

Itachi was is an intelligent person. He can easily figure out things and other people's intention without too much digging. Naruto being well aware of that finding it very hard to believe why Itachi wouldn't understand why he wants to cancel the wedding.

" Did you really think I care about that? " Itachi said looking at the blonde's cerulean eyes.

" Why wouldn't you? " Naruto asked. " There are so many women and men who wanted you so bad without a dark past. I want you to find someone who deserves you. " Naruto said averting his eyes from Itachi's.

Itachi scoffs. " Nobody deserve me except you. If you are planning to get rid of me by telling me all this bullshit I won't buy it! ."

"You don't understand..." Naruto was cut by the raven.

" Then make me! But let me tell you,  even if you made me understand all of this, I will never agree to cancel our wedding." Itachi said determined.

" Why? . Why don't you just listen to me? " Naruto said. He knew arguing with Itachi was a stupid thing to do but still he tries.

" I am listening to you but that doesn't mean I will do what you said. Are you forgetting that I am an Uchiha? " Itachi said.

Right. He is an Uchiha. Uchiha's never been told what to do.  Never listens to what others says and never give a damn care to other people except those who are important to them.

" I don't deserve you. I'm the worst... You never touch me without consent. You treat me well as if I am too fragile... And yet...  and yet... someone did all those things to me... "

Naruto was cut off again and he is getting more frustrated every second of their conversation.

" You don't need to remember those things. It happened in the past. Nobody wants it. Nobody deserves to be treated like that.  What happened to you in the past is none of my concern." Itachi replied.

" How could you say that?! " Naruto responded a little too loud. He find it stupid for the other not to care about his past since it will affect not only his reputation but the entire family.

" Because I only care about the present... I can only care about the present where you are with me, with our son. I look forward in the future too and I only see myself with you and Sachi in it. " Itachi said with all sincerity. He hopes that his stupid fiancè will not push the subject. He can talk about it all day and he doesn't care. What makes him worry is for the other to have a panic attack the more they discuss about his past.

" How can you still say that after all that happened? " Naruto said. A tear force it's way out from his eyes.

" Because I love you. I love you Uzumaki-Namikaze Naruto. " Itachi said. He once again place his hand on Naruto's cheek and use his thumb to wipe the tear tgat falk down on his face.
