Squad 5

Part 7 - Alex: Overwhelmed

Alex POV

I wake up and look over at the clock. 7:01am. Ugh, I have to get up now. I grab my phone and open Squad 5's group chat. I read through the last few messages.

Sage - What are we wearing today, girls?

Dylan - Hmm how about ... YELLOW?

Berkeley - I'm down with yellow.

Briar - So like this?

Sage - Perfect. I'm wearing this -

Berkeley - Beauty ... I am wearing a really similar thing :|

Dylan - ^You two look exactly the same, so I am going with something a little different!

Alex - I guess we're wearing yellow then ... 

Briar - Now we all look beautiful!

Berkeley - I am waiting outside your house, Alex.

Alex - Be right there.

I walk outside and get into the car. For once I am the last one to get picked up. That is a change. We drive to school and get out of the car. We walk up to the boys, which are standing right outside our lockers. 

I glance over at Lamar and I suddenly feel and overwhelming amount of sadness. Lamar and I had a big fight last night and I think our relationship might be over. I love him so much, I don't want to loose him. I haven't told the girls about the fight yet, but I could really use their help with this. I have messed everything up, and I don't know how to fix it. A single tear falls down my cheek, but I quickly wipe it away.

Suddenly everything goes silent, and I notice that everyone is staring at me. I hope they didn't notice the tear.

"Are you okay, Alex?" Briar asks me, concerned.

I try to hold it back, but I can't do it. I am at that stage where I can hold it in until someone asks me if I am okay. Tears burst out of my eyes and I run to the bathroom. I can't believe I just lost it in front of everyone.
