Ping Kaping
My phone goes off. I see that it's Briar who has text me so I decide to answer her.
Briar - The police should be there any minute now.
Alex - I think it's gonna be too late :(
Briar - What???
Alex - Berkeley just has to get into our car and then Shelby will leave straight away.
Briar - No, the police will make it in time, they have to.
Alex - Don't get your hopes up just yet.
Briar - Hope is a better feeling than fear is.
Alex - True ...
Briar - Mhmm
Alex - Wait, I can hear sirens.
Weeooo Weeeooo
The police are finally here. It's about time they showed up. They speed round the corner and surround Shelby.
"Shelby Bain I am placing you under arrest for the kidnapping of Berkeley Ratzlaff." A police officer says, pulling out a pair of handcuffs.
"NO!" Shelby yells in frustration. "You will not get away with this."
The police handcuff her and then take her away in their car. We are told that she will be sent to Juvenile Prison for a long time, and we won't be in danger anymore. It feels good to be safe again, seeing as none of us have been for about half a year now. But now that I'm safe again, I feel so happy.
