Briar POV
I lay in bed with my little baby boy in my arms. I haven't decided on a name yet; Myles should be here for that. Speaking of Myles, where is he? He wasn't here for the birth and I haven't seen him for two days now. Maybe he's having second thoughts about the baby. I hope that's not the case.
                              Dring ring
I pick up the phone and I was hoping it was Myles. But guess who it is? Trevor.
                              "Hey Trev." I say.
"Hey b." He reply's. "How are you both?"
"Great, we're doing really well." I say. "I mean it would be better if Myles was here."
"Yeah about that ... " He starts. "There was an incident when we were at the prison."
"Oh no, what happened?" I ask him, worried.
"Shelby attacked Myles just before we tried to leave. She tried to stab him with a knife but ... " Trevor explains.
"Trevor, just tell me what happened." I demand.
"Myles pushed Shelby off himself and she fell onto the ground and hit her head ... she died." He tells me.
"What." I sigh in complete shock.
"Myles is worried that he'll have to face charges." Trevor explains. "But it was self defense so I'm sure he'll be a free man soon. Don't even worry about it."
"DON'T EVEN WORRY ABOUT IT! MY BOYFRIEND KILLED A WOMAN AND COULD GO TO JAIL! HOW COULD I NOT WORRY?" I shout. "WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THAT THIS WAS GOING ON? I DESERVED TO KNOW!"
"Briar, I am so sorry." Trevor apologises. "Myles thought it would be best if you didn't know, considering you just gave birth."
"Whatever." I say and hang up on him.
