Sage POV
The ambulance takes Alex to the hospital, Briar goes with her. The rest of us split into two groups and drive to the hospital, the girls go in Berkeley's car, the boys go in Myles' car. I am so worried about Alex, what if she doesn't make it? She's been unconscious ever since the boys saved her from the water. She was drowning ... A single tear runs down my cheek.
"Sage, I know it's hard, but we have got to be strong, for Alex." Dylan tells me, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"I'll try to be strong." I say.
Berkeley parks the car in front of the hospital. I take a deep breath in and then let it out again. I un click the seatbelt, as does everyone else.
"We're here." Berkeley informs us.
"We can see that." We all say, in a duh tone.
"Okay, I was just making sure." Berkeley murmurs.
We get out of the car and walk up to the front desk of the hospital and ask the lady if she knows anything about Alex Chaves, which she doesn't. I guess the information wouldn't have been processed yet, seeing as she just arrived in the hospital too.
I glance around the hospital and I see the boys sitting in the waiting room. They got here quicker than I expected. Classic Myles, probably sped his way here. I walk over to them and take a seat next Isaiah. I sigh and rest my head on his shoulder.
"How are you holding up, Sagie." Isaiah asks me, wrapping his arms around me.
"Fine, I guess." I say, holding back the tears.
"I know you, Sage. This must be hard, seeing your best friend in hospital." Isaiah explains.
"Yeah, it is hard. This is all Lamar and Shelby's fault." I say, angrily.
"It's no ones fault." Isaiah says, carefully.
"It is, Isaiah. Lamar cheated on Alex, with Shelby. Shelby is our enemy." I explain to him, getting angrier by the second.
"What?" Isaiah says in shock.
Then I realise what I have just done. I betrayed our whole Squad. I told him that we hate Shelby, and everyone knows that when we hate someone they get hurt. But what's worse is, I betrayed Alex, I told Isaiah that Lamar cheated on Alex. She asked me not to do that. Oh no.
