Chapter 2: Welcome to the Musical Pain
Three days have passed since I got here. If you are wondering why I am not going to tell you anything about those three days is because you will die of boredom- unless you will strangely enjoy my misery. Most of those days have consisted on bonding with my roommates and Jerome, being tormented by Nina, and constantly teased by Tyler. Sometimes I think that boy has nothing else to do....like at all.
I have been waiting for a call from Harold, but there is no sign of him. No text, no phone calls, no nothing! It has gotten to the point that it annoys me to not know anything about him. Talking about annoyance, I was heading my 'favorite' class. That is Math with the stupid head of Mr. Rochester. And if that doesn't sound bad enough, the twerp of Tyler Stevens has to behind me.
"Good morning. Glad to see you're on time," Tyler said from his seat, his feet on the table.
"I just came out of the same class you did," I pointed out, placing my things on the desk.
"Yeah, but not everyone who just came out of that class has gotten here. For example, your boyfriend Jerome," he teased.
"Jerome's just my friend!" I argued, still standing up.
"Well...boy friend. He's your friend and he is a boy, right?"
I hated it when he acted so witty. A triumphant smile grew on his face as I rolled my eyes.
"Well then we know one thing you will never be," I said as I sat down.
"I am a boy, Katherine. Well...no...I'm a man," he said with a cocky laugh. He is such a headache!
"I meant my boyfriend. You will never be my boyfriend or boy friend or whatever you want to call it!"
I heard Tyler's feet touch the ground.
"Never say never," Tyler whispered in my ear in a sing-tone voice before Jerome appeared- thankfully.
"I am not that stupid."
"I beg to differ," he scoffed.
"You know, I am usually a really sweet girl, but my fist has no problem to meet your face at this very moment," I said as I turned to face him, only to find his cockiness being remarkable all over him.
"I wouldn't mind that," he teased with a brow raised.
"Good morning, students," Mr. Rochester came in. I turned my back to Tyler without any comeback, which made me feel completely powerless.
And so the teacher kept on with his class. After he discussed the material, he gave us an exercise sheet for us to finish there and then excused himself to go to the bathroom. I decided to take out my phone to check if there was any sign of Harold. I was more than happy to see that I had a new message. I quickly opened it only to see it was from a restricted number.
Are you ready?
I thought that was extremely childish. I locked my phone and put it back in my book bag.
"You're not supposed to use your phone in the class," I heard an annoying voice behind me.
"What do you care?" I asked, turning to see Tyler 'focusing' on the exercises. He could fool anyone.
"I worry about you," he teased, looking up and forcing a smile. I did the same before turning back to the exercises. "So did you find anything in your phone?"
"Was it you?"
"Was I what?, he asked confused.
"Were you the one who sent me that stupid message?"
