jaylee's pov

my hand gently wrapped around ethans jacket sleeve, pulling it slightly so that he would turn face to face with me.

he cut his sentence off mid conversation, not only him turning to me, but also earning everybody else's attention from his sudden pause.

a sharp set of nerves flowed through my veins knowing that all of the attention was now on me.

his light brown eyes stuck on me, his lips separated from being caught off guard.

I inhaled a deep breath as my eyes looked at the grins filled with desire surrounding me, then I exhaled as I looked back to ethan, only focusing on him. "wanna walk?"

a smile grew into his face, his tongue licking the corner of his mouth. "yeah." his scratchy voice answered as he tilted his head up.

quiet laughs escaped the guys mouths as their eyes shifted back and forth to each other.

my jaw clenched hard as my eyes shifted to grayson, standing next to froy. his arms were crossed, lips rubbing together to hide his smirk.

"let's go." ethans hand gently grabbed my mid back in order to lead me away from the group.

"fuck her." a deep masculine voice from behind me shouted confidently, earning a couple of heavy laughs.

I could feel myself grow embarrassed, my cheeks getting red as an anger entered inside of me, flowing through my veins.

ethan leaned to the side, putting his head next to mine. "ignore them." he whispered calmly into my ear-the heat from his voice sending chills along the skin on my neck.

"they are so immature." I mumbled out of annoyance as I continued to walk, him following next to me.

he chuckle lightly as he shrugged. "nah, they're just messing around." his voice dragged out, defending them.

my eyes rolled by themselves, not even going to try and bother fighting him about this.

we continued walking, neither of us saying anything to start a different conversation. just the sound of people screaming, talking, and laughing.

after a bit, he spoke up noticing my absence in conversation.

"hey." his voice suddenly softened, like he flipped a switch. his hand lightly grabbed onto my forearm, causing me to stop walking. "I'm sorry if I made you upset."

I held an eye contact with him, seeing a certain look in his eyes that showed he meant it.

i released a heavy breath of air through my nose, feeling myself slouch a bit. I hate that no one else sees this side of him, the side that I know is deeper than what other people can see.

"you didn't upset me, ethan." I told him with honesty. I took his hand off of my forearm, now holding his hand in mine.

I watched him as he looked down to our hands, the corner of his mouth shifted upwards as he smiled to himself without showing his teeth.
