jaylee's pov
friday

"I think I'm going after school today." I told ethan as we walked hip by hip with each other through the hallway. "I'll get you a bow to make sure it matches the dress."

"okay," ethan nodded his head showing that he understood. "I'll get you a really pretty corsage." he grinned widely while side eyeing me as we walked.

I stopped us in the hallway, keeping a smile on my face. "you're the best." I spoke in a tone of relief.

his light eyes looked down to me, his cheekbones being more defined from his smirk. "for you."

my eyes rolled lightly at his cheesiness, "I'll see you after class." I told him as I slowly started to back away from him.

"bye." his eyes stayed on me as he started to walk backwards, then turning around and walking down the hallway.

an uneasy feeling came over me as if I were being watched. my eyes turned to the left, feeling the smile fade off of my face.

it's the guys from the other day, the brown and blond haired kids. the ones that were whispering about ethan asking me to prom.

they were standing in a huge group of about ten people, also including a couple of girls.

I noticed osman standing with them, laughing at a conversation that was being held, proving to me that they were friends.

the brunette continued to glance back and forth from me to the group he was standing with, but the blond wouldn't look away from me.

his head shook at me as a small grin was pasted onto his lips, like he was shaming me for something.

being uncomfortable I turned on my heel, walking towards my second class of the day; english four.

my eyebrows were furrowed as I walked down the hallway, feeling uneasy every time I see him watching ethan and I.

if he has something to say, he should come up to the both of us and just say it.

well, maybe that's why he hasn't said anything, because he's friends with ethan. if he did have something to say, he wouldn't say it because of his friendship with ethan.

I swallowed the air stuck in my throat, walking through the door to my second period class.

letting my backpack fall off my shoulders, I sat into my normal seat as I sat my backpack down onto the ground next to my chair.

minutes went by as I waited for class to start, slouched back in my chair as my legs crossed at the ankle. my arms holding onto each other.

the bell rang loudly, indicating that class has officially started, but our teacher wasn't in the classroom.

"where's mrs. kelly?" the girl sitting next to me called out loud, asking the class as if they knew the answer.

another girl turned around to face her, "I heard she left school in the middle of first period without explanation."

the classroom door swung open, causing all of our heads to sharply turn in the direction of the front of the room.
