mondaymy eyes scanned over each of the food items carefully, pushing my tray along the metal platform as I walked further down the line.
my hand reached for a couple of more food items, then placing them onto my tray.
a shoulder bumped lightly into mine, causing my body to jump slightly from not expecting it.
"so, when were you planning on telling me?" graysons masculine voice asked from beside me, his tray being right next to mine as we waited in the lunch line.
my eyebrows furrowed as a smile painted over my lips. "about what?" I questioned, not knowing what he was talking about.
we walked slowly further down the line, pushing our trays along with us. once we had come to a stop in line, he turned around, leaning backwards against the metal.
his arms crossed as his tongue licked his lips, then turning his head to look at me. "that you're dating my brother." the corner of his mouth curved upwards, smirking at me.
my eyes squinted as my head tilted slightly, grabbing an apple from the counter. "he told you that?"
"well yeah, but it's all I'm hearing about in the halls," he told me as he turned back around, following me as I walked forward. "and quite frankly, it's getting annoying." his voice laced with antagonism.
surprisingly, I ignored his teasing for once. "people already know?" I asked out of confusion.
"It's been like a week jaylee, of course people know." his voice was mixed with a small laugh. "plus ethan isn't big on dating, so it's a pretty big conversation for people to talk about."
I nodded slowly as I looked away from him, signaling that I understood, but I didn't have anything to say.
his hand rested onto the metal, looking directly at me. "you know this makes us friends now, right?" one of his eyebrows perked upwards, keeping a grin on his face.
"oh really?" I turned my attention to him, raising both of my eyebrows. "and why's that?" my voice tested him.
"I mean you're dating my twin brother," he shrugged as he grabbed a bag of chips from the line. "so, we kinda have to trust each other."
"hmm." I squinted my eyes, pretending to be debating this. "in movies the guy always goes for his brothers girl." I told him, a small laugh leaving my mouth afterwards.
he shook his head at me as he laughed to himself. "you don't have to worry about that."
"what makes you so sure?" I raised one of my eyebrows sharply at him.
he exhaled a large breath, yet again leaning his back against the metal. his arms crossed as he looked up to the ceiling like he was thinking to himself.
"one, I don't date." he held up one of his fingers. "two, he's my brother." he lifted another finger. "and three, you're annoying." he sarcastically smiled at me, not showing his teeth.
