jaylee's pov

my hand slowly pulled the door opened, revealing ethan standing in the doorway.

his sparkling eyes were watching me, his hair messy, tucked back into a black beanie, his necklace still around his neck, black hoodie, black joggers and black converse.

my heart pounded letting it echo through my entire body making me feel

"hey." I softly spoke as I opened the large wooden door wider-allowing him to walk in.

"hey." he tilted his head upwards slightly keeping a plain look on his face; almost intimidating me for some reason.

he walked in through the front door, something I never would have thought would happen. I've disliked him for so long, like I despised him.

now he's walking into my house because I invited him. it's actually kind of weird how fast things change.

I shut the front door, then locking it to secure the house, and it would give me timing if my parents were to come home.

"head up stairs." I told him plainly, motioning my head towards the upstairs.

he raised one of his dark sharp eyebrows and slowly, the corner of his mouth began to grin as he turned towards the stairs.

I paused in my own steps once I realize what he thought that meant. my eyes widened as I swallowed the air in my throat, but I also can't deny how hot that was. his smirk and eyebrow lift is something that makes my stomach fall.

every time.

as I began walking again, I balled my hand into a fist, then lightly hitting my chest a couple of times to make sure that my heart was actually still working.

he's so fucking hot.

not even just his looks, but his actions, his words, everything.

once we reached the top of the stairs, he led the way and started to walk into what looked most likely to be my room.

and he was right.

we walked into the dark room as I searched for my lamp, wanting to light up the room since neither of us could see, then I turned it on once I found it.

"you have a balcony in your room?" ethan questioned as he walked towards the two french doors inside of my room.

I laughed lightly, "yeah I do." I told him as I watched him open the two doors.

"that's so fucking cool." he spoke in amazement. when the doors fully opened, I could feel the freezing air from outside hit against my skin.

he walked outside not being bothered by it, placing both of his hands onto the black metal railing that kept the balcony secure.

me on the other hand, I hate it. the cold weather makes me so cold to where I am constantly uncomfortable.

I followed behind him, letting the sound of crickets in the trees becoming louder. the second I was fully outside, goosebumps swarmed across the top layer of my skin.
