Marina's POV

Don't give up!

She'll come around again!

There's always going to be a time like this in a friendship, you just have to wait and it'll turn out right eventually!

My concious kept screaming things like that in my brain. I wanted to believe it, but I knew deep down in my heart that I should leave Penny alone. She was an ordinary girl before I just had to pity her. All fans do that, but I don't know, something just came over me that day. She was different and I knew she wasn't lying.

Today was my day off. I sighed in relief as I plopped down on my bed. I immedatiely grabbed my phone and clicked on the messages app. There was still no reply.

I squinted my eyes together and finally had the courage to type another message.

Hi! You there?

After about 5 minutes of staring at my phone screen, I gave up, but just before I stood up, I got a notification.

Hi Marina

A big smile was plastered all over my face. I was so happy that someone replied. I didn't care that it was most likely Teresa talking to me, at least I could ask her if I could talk to Penny or something.

Before I could reply, another message was sent.

She's gone

My small faded instantly in just a blink of an eye. What did she mean by gone? I immediatly knew I was texting Teresa at this moment, but right now, I need the details. Gone? 

Teresa's POV

I didn't exactly know what to tell Marina. Yesterday was the last time I saw Penny, right after she gave me my phone back. I didn't see her at dinner, and she never entered our shared bedroom that night. I was confused, but I shrugged it off. Occasionally, Penny would go for midnight walks. She told me once before we left to live with grandma, that she has had a few thoughts running around her mind, and she just wanted to get rid of them. I didn't understand at the time, obviously. 

I didn't exactly know if Penny ran away, or...did other things, but either way, she was gone. A few hours ago at breakfast, grandma was freaking out because one of her grand-daughters was missing. She wanted to call the police, but I insisted that we wait a little bit, because we never know if she'll return home.

But, she might not even return at all. 

I didn't know that my little sister was actually depressed inside. She never showed any signs of it at all. It all happened so suddenly, that I can't even get over the fact that she's missing.
