Chapter 5

I was frozen. Here in my hands is the phone number of Marina Diamandis. Am I dreaming? Am I even alive? I reread the letter again. I heard Teresa singing to " Beauty and a Beat" I scrunched my face and decided to go to bed.

The next morning, I got up and secretly grabbed a phone in the living room. I dialed the number, fingers crossed that Marina would answer.

"hello?"

"MARINA!!" I screamed. I instantly shut up. I heard chuckling on the other side of the phone. I turned as red as a tomato and smiled. " So you found the note, huh buddy?" Marina said, still chuckling. " Yeah..." I said, still very surprised that Marina would send me a note.

" You know that little diamond shaped park near the city?" Marina asked me. " Yeah, I used to go there with my old friend Leila before she moved away," I said. " Oh, I'm sorry." Marina told me. I nodded, but then realized that she couldn't see me, so I mumbled "yeah" 

" Anyway, I wanted to meet with you there," Marina told me. My eyes popped out. I must be dead. This cannot be happening! I might be a spirit who woke up as a different person and-

" PENNY?!?" I heard Marina shout.

" Oh my God I'm sorry I just got lost," I confessed, coming back to my senses.

" Haha..yeah. Well, are you able to come? What time would you like it to be?" Marina asked.

" Yes and is 1:00 fine?" I asked Marina.

" Sure! I'll see you later," Marina said.

I hung up with Marina and took a deep breath. Was this really happening?

" Why are you all dressed up?" Teresa said, wearing a Justin Bieber shirt. I look at her shirt, then back at her " I'm going to Cara's house," I lied. Teresa stood there. " Fine, but you better be back," she said, walking away to the fridge. I looked at her one more time to check, then I was out the house.

I walked down the streets alone. There was a guy walking his dog. And a kid playing in mud.. 

I payed no more attention to them when I saw the park. It was weird that the park was called  

" Diamond Park" ( I don't know if that is an actual park) considering that the person I'm meeting up with is Marina and the Diamonds.

I waited on a bench near the entrance. I saw pigeons eating stuff on the ground. 5 minutes, 10 minutes.. 15 minutes..where was she?

I started to worry. Did she forget? Was she too busy? Did she have a last minute interview or something? I started shuffling my feet. I looked down at them, until I heard foot steps.

"MARINA!! YOU MADE IT!!" I practically yelled at the top of my lungs.

Marina chuckled and held my hand. " Sorry I was a bit late, I had a call telling about my next concert," Marina said, while chuckling. I nodded and sat back down on my bench. Marina was wearing a pink dress with heels. 'like the one in Primadonna' I thought.

" So, do you have any crushes?" Marina asked. I blushed when I heard that. "Um.." I said, thinking. " Please tell me! I promise I won't tell anyone," Marina said looking serious.

I half smiled and decided to tell her, " Well, I have a small crush on Louis Tomlinson of Oje Direction.." I mumbled. Marina smiled. " Yes, I know them. They are attractive to girls," Marija said, modding. I decided to continue. " But since I know I can't really be Louis's girlfriend, I have this other crush, named Mitchell," I said a little louder. Marina smiled again. " Yep, you always fall in love as a teenager.." Marina said nodding.

After about 3 hours, I told Marina that I had to leave.

She agreed with me too because she had an interview.

The next day, I was walking home from school with Cara. " So..what's the surprise thing you were gonna tell me?" Cara said, as we were walking past a store. Just before I could open ,y mouth, I spotted a magazine that really caught my eye. I stopped and dragged Cara inside of the store. I held the magazine in my hand: Marina Diamandis with secret fan?!?

Cara's eyes went wide when she saw my photo with Marina, when we were at the park.
