'So, how are you?' I cautiously ask Megan as she drags me into yet another shoe store. She huffs and pulls a pair of  sparkly heels off of the shelve, I will never understand why girls feel the need to spend hours upon hours in stores like these.

'Well I've decided to stay single until I can find out who I truley am. I really don't need a boy anymore especially not one like Lucus.' I know that she doesn't mean it and next week she'll probably have another boyfriend but I nod along anyway. 'I agree, the world doesn't revolve around relationships.'

She pulled another shoe off of the shelve which looked identical to the first pair and examined it before replying. 'Anyway how are you and Logan?' I groan and sit down on the small purple sofa that's been pushed up against the far wall, I really hate these places and I refuse to spend over an hour in here but today I'm doing it for Megan.

'There is no me and Logan.' She lifts her brow before coming to sit next to me on the sofa, examining me like I'm a pair of shoes that she's interested in. 'Nic, don't bullshit me. You two have a history so of course there is a you and Logan, you're meant for each other.'

'Meant for each other? I don't think so he hurt me Megs and that's when our story ended.' I truly believe that I'm getting over Logan and the more I think about him the more I'm disgusted by him and the way that he treated me. I don't know what helped me get over Logan but whatever it was it did the trick.

'Does he still love you?'

How am I supposed to know? I still don't think that he loved me in the first place so it's impossible for him to love me now.

'Well he tried to get me back but I said no.'

Her eyes widen and her mouth dropped open. 'You said no?' I nodded, she never understands what I go through or what I went through with Logan. 'I don't believe in second chances Megs, if you fuck me over once that's it.'

'Well I better not fuck you off then.' She laughed before getting back up and picking up yet another pair of stupid high heeled shoes. 'I doubt you will, I think that if you were going to piss me off you would have done it by now.' I assure her and bring my phone out of my bag.

'I like that outfit by the way Nic.' She points to my crop top and high wasited jeans. 'Thanks.' I smile back at her.

I'm not the type of girl to cover up let me tell you that, I've got a figure so I'm going to show it. My boobs are pushed up tastefully and my crop top reveals the tattoos on my stomach. 'I really like that tattoo.' She points towards a cluster of birds by my hip bone, I run my fingers over the small print and swallow.

'What?' She asks when she notices my discomfort. 'I got them when me and Logan found out that we were accepted into the same uni, it symbolises our freedom that we were finally going to have, you know away from our parents.' My tattoos basically tell the story of my relationship with Logan and it's a reminder of what I had with him.

'That's cute.' She giggles, it isn't cute in the slightest they will forever be the memory of someone that I was never good enough for.

I go back to my phone while she goes to the check out to pay. It rings in my hand and Peter's name flashing up on the screen and I grin and all of a sudden feel giddy as I slide my thumb across the screen to answer him.

'Miss Stone, where on earth are you?' My heart flutters.

'Shopping.' I groan but the huge smile stays on my face.

'Nicolette, is that you?'

'Yes dumbass, sometimes I do normal girl things too.' I laugh and I can picture his face right now, his blue eyes alight with amusement, maybe the little crinkles have appeared by his eyes like they normally do.
