'Wake up sleepy head.' A soft voice whispers in my ear followed by a gentle shake, I open my eyes slowly.
'Morning.' Indiana smiles at me and I return one grabbing my pillow and hold it tighter to me.
'Time to wake up.' Her voice sounded again, I huffed and lifted my head up and stretched my arms out. 'What time is it?' I ask my voice slightly raspy, I coughed to get rid of it. '9 o'clock.' I looked at her and sighed, throwing my feet off of the side of the bed.
'The others have gone for a hike so it's just me you and Calli this morning.'
I nodded, I loved that the rest of them went out.
'So what are we going to do today then?' She thought for a moment before her eye light up and she climbed down from my bed beckoning me to follow. I followed her, in my pjs, into her and Calli's cabin.
When I entered I gasped, it looked so homely here. They had put out an authentic rug and placed lamps and shit all over the tables. I edged in slowly careful not to touch anything, Indiana dragged me to sit on her bed.
Calli entered from the bathroom and ran over to me, still in her pjs too, she sat next to me on the bed. I looked suspiciously between the two grinning girls. 'What?'
'Nothing.' Calli said looking away. 'Tell me, what's up?' I urged. They shared a glance before facing me again smiling ear to ear.
'We sent the others out on purpose.' Calli began.
'Why?'
Indiana hesitated but continued anyway. 'Erm...'
'Spit it out Indi.' I laughed slightly.
'I'm getting a tattoo!' She rushed.
'Seriously?' She nodded eagerly and stood up in excitement, I looked at Calli who didn't seem too pleased with Indi making me think that this wasn't what they were supposed to tell me.
'Well, what are you going to get?'
'I don't know but I thought that maybe you could help me.' I nodded looking at her plain skin, she's like a blank canvas. 'This is going to be so much fun!'
'Yeah, we thought that we would give you some fun since you've been feeling down recently.' Calli informed me and I put one of each arm round both of the girls and held them closely to me. 'I love you girls, you know that right?'
I do love them, I love the fact that they've noticed how down I've been and actually want to do something about it. I love how much they care about me and are always here for me whenever I need them.
'We know.' Calli said pulling Indiana with her arm so we were all joined.
The door swung open and Indiana separated from us so that we could all see a flustered Abby.
'Abbs?' Calli stood up and approached her. Abby burst out in laughter. 'I thought I sent you and the others on a hike?' Indiana said disapprovingly, she hated when things didn't go her way. 'Just come and have a look at this.' She said taking in small breaths to help subside the laughter.
I got off of the bed and followed Abby out of the cabin with Indi and Calli on my tail. She lead us down to a clearing and when we arrived the disaster came into view. Megan was stood in the middle of the clearing, covered with red blotches. I bit down on my bottom lip to try and stop myself from laughing, Indiana linked her arm through mine and hid her face in my shoulder as her giggles fell out.
'What happened?' Calli questioned stepping forward. Megan looked at her and her face was even worse that I couldn't help laughing. Her face was massive, and I mean like as big as a bowling ball. Her bottom lip was enlarged by about 1000%, it was cut open and her eyes were sealed shut by some gooey shit.
'Well, there were some bees.' James explained slowly looking at me directly as I laughed harder joined by Calli and Abby.
'And?' Indiana managed to get out.
'And...she's apparently allergic to bees.' James informed us looking at Megan again, placing a soothing hand on her back. She jumped away from him and he throw his hands up in exasperation.
'So what do we do with her now?' Logan said rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly staring at me while he tried not to laugh as well. 'Well we obviously need to call an ambulance.' James snapped pulling out his phone. 'Shit no service.' Megan's eyes widened and I fanned myself to stop the tears from running down my cheek, this shit is too good.
'Well someone needs to drive her then.'
I looked at everyone else but they all averted their eyes. 'Well I'm not taking her.' I said straight out. 'Yeah, and I haven't got my licence.' Calli said happily. 'Indiana?'
Indiana looked up and opened her mouth in hesitation. 'Well I...don't really want to.' She admits. 'I mean I totally would but I'm not dressed so...'
'Someone...' Megan tried to say past her puffy lips but it just came out as a strangled sound making me and Abby laugh again.
'Someone has to take her! What about you, Logan?' James asked frantically.
'No, she'll annoy me the entire ride so no.'
James sighed. 'Fine I'll do it then.' I don't know why he didn't offer in the first place, maybe he doesn't like her either.
'Wait, I can't drive there, we don't have any mode of transport here.'
'No the hospital isn't that fair actually I saw it on the way in, just walk up the road we came down and there's a big one there.' I informed him and the hope from moments ago left his face.
He leaned into me. 'Do I have to stay there with her or can I leave her?' He whispered. 'Leave her there.' I replied and he nodded playfully.
He grabbed her and took her away.
I looked around the group and we all burst out in laughter again.
Lesson learned; sometimes you need to take a little time to thank mother nature for all the bees in the world. :)
