"Johnny, Ponyboy, come in!" I said happily, opening the door wider.
Sodapop came from behind me but stopped suddenly when he saw who was at the door, "Ponyboy! Johnny! Come join everybody!"
We sat around the table, I sat next to Soda who had his two brothers on his other side. After Pony sat Johnny and then a few empty seats. On my side sat Veronica and then Steve followed by Two-bit. After Two was Johnny.
I felt Soda grab my hand under the table and give it a squeeze.
We passed around the food and separated into our own conversations.
Soda revealed his suspicion to me that Steve and Veronica were officially an item and after I told him that I still wasn't convinced that nothing happened the night Dallas stayed with Heather.
After, the roast and rolls were devoured,
Johnny, Pony, and Darry were in a conversation of their own. The same went for Steve, Veronica, and Two-bit.
"Still on for dinner on Tuesday? Steve wants to make it a double date."
I smiled, "Sounds great."
