Steve and I shared atleast a few more kisses before the night was over. He drove me home after the movie and we made plans for dinner on Tuesday. Even just after walking in the door, I was thinking about Steve. Same goes for when I went to bed and when I woke up.
Bailey and I didn't work weekends during the summer so we met up. We decided walking would be fine because it was such a nice day.
After buying a pepsi for each of us, we decided to go to the park where Bailey relived every moment of her date with Sodapop.
She described him like your everyday prince charming but with a little more energy. He sounded like he had a problem sitting still. While some may see that as a flaw, it was perfect for Bailey because she always wanted to be on the go.
I glanced down at my watch and noticed Heather would be leaving for her shift in about ten minutes. Her house was just down the road so we decided to pop in and see if she still had breakfast out.
We were across the street when her front door opened. Expecting to see her, it was quit a shock to see a man instead.
"Is that Dallas Winston?" I whispered.
Bailey let out a strangled laugh before she broke out into a full on fit of giggles.
Once she finally stopped laughing, she tried to give Heather the benefit of the doubt, "Maybe he just stopped by this morning. For breakfast!"
I glanced over at Dallas, "I wouldn't be too sure of that. I saw him last night and he was wearing the exact same thing."
Bailey laughed again, "This is too good. We caught Dallas Winston's walk of shame."
I stared in disbelief as he left while Bailey continued laughing. Once he was around the corner, I pulled Bailey to the front door.
I knocked loudly and in a matter of seconds, Heather had opened the door.
She didn't appear to be expecting us because she looked surprised to see us.
Bailey was now laughing so hard she was crying. "We saw your guest," She said between laughs.
She smiled a little before she caught herself and arranged ber features to a blank expression, "Oh Dally? He was just doing me a favor."
Bailey laughed harder while my eyes widened in horror. Heather looked confused until she realized what we were thinking, "Oh! Not like that! Gross guys, gross. A group tried to jump me while I was walking home with Anne last night and he kinda saved the day, so, I asked if he could crash here so we wouldn't have to be alone."
Bailey stopped laughing, "Are you both alright?"
She nodded, "Yes, but that's only because of Dallas."
Bailey started laughing again, "Dallas Winston and you. Never thought I'd see the day."
Heather glanced at her watch, "I'm going to be late. Would you mind bringing Anne down to Mrs. Sue's?"
We agreed and she handed us Anne a minute later as she ran through the door.
Mrs. Sue took Anne and we were on our way. My car was supposed to be done and we were eager to see a couple of mechanics.
