I stood and grabbed my dagger, the Fury being too close for me to load an arrow and shoot no matter how fast I could do it. I made the mistake of looking down to grab it and I heard Leo shout my name. I looked up as a claw came in contact with my face. It backed me against the wall, it's other claws digging into my left arm. I'm glad I closed my eyes because it would've taken it right out. It ran it's claw down from my forehead to my jaw line, passing over my right eye and piercing my eyelid. I screamed in agony and swiped my right arm, cutting it's claw off. It let out a screech so loud and high pitched it hurt my ears. It sounded like multiple voices screeching in different pitches, all of them deafening. My own blood blinded me. I felt around for an arrow as my other hand holds my bow. I knocked it and shot at it's chest. Bullseye. It screeched again and Sara threw a knife through it's head and it exploded into yellow dust. I slumped against the bench, putting my hand over my eye. I pulled it away and it was covered in blood. I put my hand back to my eye. I felt a hand pull mine away from my face and wipe the blood away. I recognized Liam's face come into view. He wiped the whole cut until all the blood was gone. Sara handed me some ambrosia. It tasted like my mom's clam chowder we had every Christmas.

"On the bright side, we'll have matching scars." Liam says, his hand still on my face. He spread some cream over my forehead, and cheek. I wanted so badly to kiss him but I couldn't. I just couldn't. I don't think he remembers all the things we had and did together. The late nights talking, the afternoon walks, and the mornings he'd sneak into my room just to see me. That was ruined when he started serving Kronos. He tried to get me to join him but I refused many times. MANY times.

"It really hurts..." I whimper. He pulls down my left sleeve and works on my shoulder. I looked to Sara to see her going somewhere else. I was now alone with Liam.
