"Sara? Are you alright?" Leo asked. I had walked out of the cabin and was sitting near the front of the boat, letting the ocean spray hit my face.
"Yeah...yeah I'm fine. I just...don't like the sight of blood, OK?"
"Seriously? A daughter of war hates the sight of blood?" Leo chuckled. He sat next to me and looked out into the waves.
"Not just any blood", I explained. "Like, if my friends are hurt...then I feel like I've failed, like I didn't protect them."
"I get that. But Ellie's a daughter of Apollo. She can take care of herself."
"Yeah."
"Hey, I been thinking", Leo said, turning to face me. "Listen, about what happened earlier, I just want to say I'm sorry. What I did wasn't fair to you and I'm sorry."
"It's fine Leo", I told him, standing up.
"You sure? Cause I could...like I don't know...give you some space if you want. I could do that", he offered.
"Now that is definitely not what I want you to do", I teased. He smiled and pulled me into a tight embrace.
"I'm just glad you're OK", he whispered.
"I'm glad you're OK too, Hothead", I whisper back, smiling at the new nickname I had given him.
