"Oh my gods! Leo!" I cried, rushing to him. He was tied to a wooden chair, cut up and bruised, with most of his clothing clawed off.

"Shhhhh! You need to get out of here. It's the empousai. They took me after I fell, they're the ones behind the elevator doors and they are the ones who took the chariot", he whispered.

"Took the chariot? I thought Apollo had hidden it as a trial test."

"I overheard them earlier. Apparently Apollo knows the chariot is on Olympus, but can't tell past that. They were laughing, saying it was hidden in plain sight".

"Kind of like the oldest question in the universe", I joked, cutting the ropes. "Now let's you out of here."

"No! Go! They could be back--"

"Any second", came a hiss from behind. I whipped around and threw my knife, reacting on instinct. It thudded into one of the monsters, but there were still nine more. Leo's left foot was still tied to the chair, so he would be any help.

"Nine to one...you don't stand a chance, half-blood", another one said. They began circling me, metal legs clanking. I lashed out and jumped back, taking two more out.

"Have you ever noticed just how wolf-like you are? I mean, how more Roman can you get?" Leo asked, kicking at an empousai with his free leg. "That's just like how wolves attack...aren't they your favorite animal?"

"Shut up, Leo", I growled, making three explode into dust. "Four more to go."

I lunged for his foot, slicing off the rest of the ropes. He jumped up, hands and pretty much the rest of his clothes catching fire.

"Aw, come on!", he shouted as he burned another monster. "Sara! Don't stare!"

"Well, sorry!" I snapped back, slicing an empousai into dust as she lunged at Leo. "Back off, this one is mine."

"Now you're getting overprotective. How sweet!"

We made the last two monsters burst apart at the exact same time. Leo laughed, relief filling his voice. He hugged me, lifting me up slightly.

"I know you're in your underwear and this is sort of awkward", I said, kissing him. "But, I really missed you."

"Come on, Sara. It's only been two days."

"I know". I rested my head in the crook of Leo's neck. "Now let's get you some clothes."

        "Right."
