"So how do I look?" Leo asked. He was dressed in a fancy suit that I had taken off of a random man that I had knocked unconscious.
"You're lucky it wasn't a hobo walking by", I snapped, dragging him into the Empire State Building. "The elevator should be working now. Let's get a move on."
"But don't we need a key?"
"Just come on, Hothead", I said as I pulled on his tie and dragged him into the elevator. I used my stiletto knife to pick at the lock until the 600th floor button popped up. "See. we didn't even need a key."
The elevator ride up was boring and kind of awkward. When I asked what the empousai had tortured Leo for and he responded with, "I don't really know. They asked me if you were still alive and if we had found the chariot yet, but I didn't tell them anything important."
"Why would they ask if I was still alive?"
"They said you were superhuman. Like you're stronger, faster, smarter, and wiser than all other children of Athena. I guess it's 'cause your 'trueblood'. Maybe they thought Zeus would have killed you by now."
"That helps..."
The elevator dinged and we stepped out. "Right...now we have a little less than two weeks to find where Ellie and Liam ran off to."
