"Wait, Leo", I say, pulling away from the hug.
"What's wrong?" he asked, the look in his eyes telling me has was thinking the exact same thing I was.
"If there was a monster attack, then where is the captain!" we shouted together. We ran up the restricted acess stairs to the upper cabin.
"We should be on a crime show", Leo panted as we ran.
"Yeah. You're Castle, I'm Beckett", I retorted, kicking down the door.
"Except we're the same age and I don't have a redheaded daughter in college...or a redheaded daughter", he teased.
I looked around the room. No navigator or captain of any sort. There were shredded clothes on the floor and blood spattered everywhere.
"Alright, either the monster ate the guy or the monster was the guy", Leo murmured, deep in thought.
"You mean girl", I told him. "And that doesn't matter. What matters is that someone needs to steer this ship."
"Hand the wheel over to me, Sara. I know my machines."
"Not gonna happen Hothead. I'm half Portuguese. I think I'd know more about navigating than you. Why don't you go check on the engines?"
"Not a chance, Wise Ass. I called it first."
"Stop acting like a five year-old!"
"Then let me take the wheel!"
"Awwww, look at you two. Already bickering over who gets the wheel", Liam said, smiling. "Although, if I were you, I'd let Sara have the wheel, Leo".
"Where's Ellie?" I asked, pushing Leo away from the wheel and turning us towards the harbor that I saw in the distance.
"Downstairs resting", Liam told us, sitting down in one of the seats. "I gave her some ambrosia and bandaged her up."
