Ellie rested my head in her lap as she worked to heal it. Her eyes were closed and her hand started glowing as it hovered over the injury. She didn't look relaxed though. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her shoulders tense. I did try to kill her..... again. I felt a wave of relief wash over me as the wound healed. She opened her eyes, her brown irises looking down at me. I was about to talk when Sara shouted to us.

"We better get going!" she yells. Ellie nods as Sara turns to Leo. I sit up and turn to face Ellie. I grab her hands before she gets up.

"Ellie, I'm sorry. I didn't have any control." I say. She squeezes my hands reassuringly.

"It's okay. Really." she says. I can tell it isn't.

"No, it's not. I just ruined everything between us again. I was taking my time and warming up to you. Believe me, when I remembered you I wanted to marry you on the spot but I knew it would take some time. " I finally admit. It was true. I see tears on her cheeks and wipe them away with my thumb. She leans her head in my hand. I can feel her scar as I trace my thumb over it. I touch the corner of her lips and something in my mind clicks. I lean forward and kiss her. I think she was surprised at first but she finally kisses back. I felt the familiar sparks and the fire inside and find myself flashing back to all the times we had. Picnics, late nights, everything. And for the first time in forever, I felt happy. That is until a throat cleared from behind me. I pulled away and saw Sara and Leo staring at us.
