"Okay, now just pull back as far as you can... a little farther... okay, and... release." I instruct the half blood. The arrow flies through the air and lands pretty close to the bullseye. The ten year old boy frowns, upset he didn't make the bullseye. I pat his back reassuringly.
" Hey, it's okay! That was an awesome shot!" I say, bringing a smile to his face. I had trained my ass off to become an instructor at Camp Half-Blood. Chiron wasn't so sure when I asked him, considering the only instructor he had was "Luke" for combat. I didn't know why he was scared to have me be an instructor. I didn't just teach archery, I taught combat and even gave a few Ancient Greek lessons here and there. I helped in the infirmary, I was known by every single camper. I loved every minute of it.
I watched as the last of the campers left the arena. The clouds were barely pink. It wasn't that late, only about four o'clock. I started to tidy up, putting arrows back in the bins when there was a voice from across the arena.
"Hey, sunshine!" Liam shouts. I drop everything and run over to him, latching my arms around his neck.
"You're back!" I say, laughing with joy and he spins us us around. He left to help Leo look for demigods. They were both scouts, searching for demigods that had not found their way to either camp. He takes my face in his hands and kisses me longingly. After what seemed like a few minutes, I pull away and rest my head against his.
"I missed you so much. Did Leo tell you that him and Sara are getting married?" I say excitedly. I was so happy for them. They were truly a great pair. I wasn't one of those girls who waited for their boyfriend to propose. We were both busy, so I understood why he hasn't asked yet.
"He wouldn't shut up about it. Wait he did talk about something else. He kept nagging me about how he was going to be married before me." he says. I giggle.
"You know that I don't mind, right?" I say. He nods.
"Yeah, but I want to change that." he says, pulling away and getting down on one knee.

I stared into her eyes as realization set into them. My heart was beating faster and faster. I was so nervous of her response because she never mentioned wanting to get married. When Leo told me he proposed to Sara it was a majorwake up call. We've technically been together for almost ten years. From middle school, all the way through highschool, then a little after before I was ..... possessed. We've lasted longer than most marriages and we weren't even married. I shook my thoughts out of my head as I started to speak.
"Ellie, we've been through thick and thin, we've had our ups and downs, our fights, everything. You were and still are all I think about from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep. Why it took this long, I have no excuse. I guess we've just been so busy... wait, that's an excuse.. um..." I hesitate and look at the ground. She giggles and look back up at her face, her hand covering her mouth and tears running down her cheeks. I smile.
"What I'm tryingto say is.... Will you marry me?" I ask, pulling a ring from my back pocket. She nice her head yes and my heart fills with joy.
