        *Three years later*

"Come on Wise-Ass, get up", Leo said. "I've got something to show you."

        "Argh", I groaned, sitting up.

"Your hair is a mess", Leo told me, smiling and helping me up.

        "Gimme half an hour."

"Come on. Just brush your hair and meet me outside."

"Fine", I muttered, yawning and looking at the clock. "Leo, it's five in the morning."

"Just meet me outside when you're done."

I scrambled around for the brush and detangler and made for the bathroom. We had spent pretty much the past two years making the bunker into more of a home. There were two queen beds, a full kitchen and a full bathroom. Leo and I were both majoring in engineering at Columbia University.

"Right. So what did you want, Hothead?" I asked as I stepped outside.

"Just follow me", Leo replied, grinning and taking my hand.

We walked for about half an hour until we reached a grove. There was a picnic blanket laid out with breakfast.

"You cooked?" I asked, shocked. The only dish Leo could cook moderately well was spicy tamales, and I hated spicy food.

"Kinda. Well. I tired too but the smoke alarm started to go off, and I didn't want to wake you, so I asked Ellie for help", he said, scratching his arm.

        "You're nervous. Why?"

        "What? No, I'm no--"

"You just scratched your arm. That's a nervous habit."

"Ya know what? Let's just sit, enjoy the sunrise, and eat some muffins."

        "Ellie baked?"

        "Yeah...um..special occasion."

        "Leo, just ask your question."

        "Whaaat? What question?"

"You're acting like you're hiding something, and like you're about to tell me what it is."

"See? You are just the mortal version of your mother. Um...so...question...right. We've been on four quests together in the past three years. We've saved each others lives multiple times, and I don't think I'd be standing here today without you and your trusty knives. And uh, I can't see any future for me without you in it, so, Sara Anne Michelle...", Leo said, taking my hands. "Will you marry me?"
