I couldn't help but worry. I mean, one friend could possibly most likely be dead, while the other one was having a nervous breakdown. Liam trailed behind me as we went to go get our duffel bags and backpacks. I grabbed half and started walking back to Sara. Liam spoke up behind me.
"Ellie, I'm sorry about the whole... losing thing. I should have just asked or something..." he says, rambling on and in. The kiss was the last thing on my mind, currently. I mean, when he was Luke we would do stuff like that all the time. It was just unexpected. Since it was the last thing on my mind, I just said whatever popped up.
"It's okay, I wanted it to happen anyways." I say. That caught him off guard.
"Really?" he asks. I turned my head to him.
"Yes. Now come on, I only have two weeks to finish this fucking quest." I say. His smile disappears but he doesn't say anything else. When we see Sara, she's crying. I've only seen her cry once or twice before. I dropped the bags and ran over to her.
"That's it. We're going down to see if Leo's okay. I don't give a damn if anyone protests." I say.
