CYJ POV
If he wasn't such an idiot I may not even end up in this hospital... but then again I could have tried harder to seriously talk to him...

"UGH!!! IDIOT!" I shouted in the open space. The garden was quiet and empty. Just me, a few sparrows and Mother Nature. The air was getting chilly since winter was arriving but I was still in my hospital pyjamas...

I looked down to the few sparrows feeding on some crumbs on the floor. Cute... just like my baby birds...

I looked up to the sky unknowingly, a habit that I got used to when A certain somebody was gone.

'No matter where you are, look up and it's the same sky.'

Tears well up at the corner of my eyes again. How did this turn out this way? Time passed so quickly, things changed so quickly, people leave quickly... the plague never goes away.

Just then, I heard the door to the garden click open and a bunch of footsteps. At least three people. The footsteps got louder and louder and I instinctively lowered my head, staring down at my slippers.

Soon, the birds flew away as someone marched over. I watched as a pair of brown polished dress shoes stopped in front of me.

"Choi Youngjae?" The man said. I looked up and nodded, confirming my identity.

"Great!" He moved to my side and sat down with me, revealing another two men clad in black suits who were standing behind him.

I couldn't help but to feel intimidated by the man, causing me to uncontrollably gulp down air and stutter out my next sentence.

"H-how may I help you?" I asked.

"Hello, nice to meet you," He said as he reached out a hand. "I am Im Jungho."

What?! My eyes popped out in shock. What is he doing here?

I looked to his hand which was still held up in front of me, waiting for a handshake. I composed myself and reached out as well, hesitantly. He grabbed my hand and shook it as he smiled at me. What a fake, creepy smile...

Just then, I remembered I dropped my phone in the ward, on the floor. I silently cursed myself for leaving my phone back there and turned back to Jungho, confused as to why he came to me instead of Jaebum.

"So," he started, "you know my Son, Jaebum..." I nodded in acknowledgement and looked away as he continued.

"He is a little difficult to deal with. He is the heir of my family and he can own everything I own now if he comes back to America. I tried to convince him, he wouldn't listen..." I could feel him look at me with that irritating pitiful expression of his, as if he were really worried for Jaebum, but I looked straight to the fence, avoiding eye contact.

I see right through you, Im.

"Now that he is of age to be the successor of my companies, he is also recognised by many delinquent groups, both in America and Korea. People are starting to target him, thinking that he would be my soft spot since he is the heir." He explained, looking at me intently. I'd be lying if I said more than half of what he said came into my head. I trust Jaebum, and Jaebum only. That's the difference between the two of us.

"I know you love him a lot, but I can not allow you to be together. Many people have their eyes on Jaebum. If He stays here, hell would break loose, a bloodbath is inevitable and Jaebum... he'll be in the centre of it. If he were to return, I can protect him, he can marry and live a good life, with his real family."
