He gave up, sitting opposite Jaebum, finally picking up his pen to attempt his mathematics homework. But we all knew it was just an excuse. This way, he could stare at Jaebum to his heart's content.
He took his time to appreciate the tiniest details he picked up such as the beauty marks above Jaebum's left eyebrow, or the way his beautiful brown eyes moved as he read the book, and oh those beautiful, long fingers flipping the pages- imagine the things he could do with those hands... Hold up! I meant how he could help to carry objects... Pfft, what were you little devils thinking?
"Do your work," Jaebum said casually as he noticed Youngjae's gaze turn a shade darker than usual. He would never admit wanting to see that look coming from Youngjae but of course, we all know he does...
Youngjae jumped a little, startled and embarrassed that he got caught. (Doing what?)
"Fine!" He then propped his chin up on a palm, making it even more obvious that he was staring at Jaebum. "This is all the work I have planned for the rest of the day." he flashed a huge smile and Jaebum could have sworn he was facing a real ball of sunshine.
Youngjae knew better, that was not the only job he has to accomplish today. He had been tasked by the one and only royal relationship advisor, Kunpimook buhwakul Bambam, also known as his best friend, to find out where Jaebum lives.
"Next, his address..." He hears Bambam's voice ring in his head.
Jaebum heaved a huge sigh and stood up quickly, grabbing two more books from the table and making his way to the e-kiosk to borrow them. He thought maybe he could suddenly run and lose Youngjae.
"Hey! Where are you going?!"
"Borrowing books, chill!" Jaebum replied, not wanting to spoil his plan before he started running.
He slowly walked towards the exit after borrowing his books, stopping at a book shelf and randomly picking up a book, pretending to read the synopsis.
"This looks interesting, I think you'd like it." Jaebum said, without actually registering the fact that he was holding a bible. He quickly put it down and made his way to the exit, moving faster every second.
"What? Youngjae asked as he picked up the book Jaebum had just left behind, realising it was a bible. He was more than confused before he looked around for the auburn haired boy. He was gone! Youngjae immediately ran out, chasing the elder boy like his life depended on it.
"Hey! Please... Wait for me!" Youngjae begged. He was never much of a runner. He hated doing sports and the only "exercise" he did to keep fit was dance.
When youngjae finally caught Jaebum's bag, They slowed down to a stop as Youngjae panted to catch his breath. Jaebum looked back at the tired boy and smiled a little at his significantly smaller hand grabbed onto his backpack.
"So..." Youngjae started as he stood up straight, "How was NOTA?" Youngjae randomly asked a question, hoping to keep a conversation going. NOTA stands for "Night Of The Arts" a special performing arts concert put together annually by their school's many talented clubs.
"It was fine..." Jaebum simply replied, saying no more, no less than he needed to. Just as he was going to open his mouth to comment, youngjae, who didnt notice his small gesture started ranting.
"To be very honest, I liked last year's better. Since the seniors of the dance club graduated they have been slacking so much that it is really evident in their messy dance. The vocalists also need more practice. The MCs messed up the order of the performance which is really not cool... but i guess it still worked out okay..." Youngjae trailed as he noticed Jaebum stopped walking.
